Don't let children run and climb around here - it's a vast complex of steep drop offs, random holes etc. Very impressive ruins.

Love going to O'Moore Park. Nice ground with good views from stands and terraces alike. It's a pretty accessible venue from many areas of the country though it can be a little congested getting into the area on match days. If they open up some of the playing fields there's tons of parking. Playing surface is top notch & kept in great condition through the summer (nice for a little puc-about afterwards with the kids). My only problem with O'Moore Park is that I never seem to come away from it with the right match result :S

We were just passing by on the way to Galway and stopped in Portlaosie for a quick lunch I got attracted by this little beautiful shop on the main street. The guy in the shop was really friendly and helped us to choose some small souvenirs for out family. Thank you for the great experience.

Myself and my friend visited this amazing place of a vast selection of different types of furniture stuffed animals and vintage clothes. Around every corner there is another mystery awaiting you and dreaming where all these pieces came from.

Dragged three tweens away from the thrills of the internet to visit Poet's Cottage - it's about 25 mins away from me - we were all rather bemused. Nothing to leave home for.

If you miss traveling with Roghan you have missed the REAL Ireland. Just finished a week traveling from Dublin to Belfast experiencing places only locals would know as well as some important notable places!

The knowledge of his native country is outstanding! He went out of his way to help two men find their ancestors home area. One met a distant niece just by driving to the small village and inquiring the whereabouts! Amazing effort by Roghan!

Travel with Midway Ireland and you won’t be disappointed !! Cheers!

A fantastic gift shop- lovely quirky gifts. I have bought a few times from this gift shop since last March for friends that got married during covid and pick me up care packages. Ladonna could not have been more helpful- after messaging her she replied through whatsapp and sent me the nicest of ideas to send to my friends. This second to none service, along with the gorgeous presentation in wrapping of all gifts-( she even wrote the card with my message so it could be sent straight to my friend) shows that she goes over and beyond to ensure you have the best customer experience possible. I would definitely recommend a visit to this little gem.

Lovely place where we could crash for a lunch and a pint/tea after a Hike in the Sleeve Bloom mountains and before hopping on the train. We got lovely pizzas, and could watch the match (my partner is Welsh and Wales was playing against Bulgaria).
We will come back for a pint next time we are in Portlaoise (this little town has stolen our hearts!). See you soon!

Great Pub. Visited it on 2 occasions over the weekend and it’s a friendly locals bar. We strolled around checking out a few bars in the town this place seem the busiest so get gave it a try. Pints were excellent as was the service, nice chatty barman. Racing & Sports on the TV’s but not too loud. Live music on the weekends.

A surprising amount of antiquities on display. From old fishing reels, to fishing flies and lures, stuffed animals and birds, old photographs and books, traps, and more!!!
The proprietor is obviously passionate and dedicated to keeping a record of times gone by and especially anything related to fishing and hunting in Ireland. Really nice, friendly man who took our group around all the various rooms and explained the exhibits. Well worth a visit.
