Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Teresa C96 contributionsOne of our friend loves the extensive and well maintained ground in Castletown. She decided to choose to be the venue of her round birthday celebration. A Huge thank you to the staff in brambles cafe for making her day so beautiful and a enjoyable outing for all of us.Written 26 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - barrakellyDublin, Ireland193 contributionsFun and informative tour of the brewery and the beer making process. A nice selection of beer tastings (McGargles amongst others) at the start and finish. Simon and Robin were very generous with their time for questions and general banter. Hopefully they'll have drinks named after them soon. Highly recommend. Lasts about 90 minutes.Written 4 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bozeman-DublinTrim, Ireland8,612 contributionsThe Guinness statue is right on the main street of Celbridge close enough to the gates of Castletown House.
There's not a lot to say except it would be a pity to come to the birthplace of Arthur Guinness and not stop by this commemorative statue.
On my visit he was wearing a mask to comply with Covid 19 safety measures!
His birthplace is further along the main road to where it bends at the Village Gastro PubWritten 20 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The best thing about it for me was its beautiful bell, currently standing where the priest's house used to be back in the days that there was no church here at all, just a thatched "mass house".
The bell is high on the right of the courtyard as you face the church.
Right on the main street of Celbridge, you cant miss it.Written 20 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had one of the love cottages and they are just stunning. The rooms were spotless and everything we could possibly need was there. Would have liked a little more choice at breakfast but it was still lovely. Will certainly returnWritten 5 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Seamus B6 contributionsRobert is a fantastic gillie: knowledgeable, easygoing and great company.
He thoroughly respects the trout and their habitat.
He understands where they lurk and why and how that facilitates landing them.
I’m half an hour I hooked and returned eight beautiful fish.
Robert made it seem easy.
I’ll be back.Written 2 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
