What travellers are saying
- MKTBETopeka, KS3,053 contributionsWe loved the time we spent in The Burren National Park. It was a cloudy, stormy fall day, and we were able to experience the angry Atlantic Ocean crashing against the formidable limestone rock formations. To experience the beauty and majesty of this area was absolutely priceless. I imagine that on a warm sunny day, our experience might be totally different!Written 29 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Glenys P1 contributionWe first visited Clare Heritage & Genealogy Centre in July 2019 to hopefully gain some knowledge of my grandmother’s life there. In 24 hours Antoinette came up with enough information for us to get a feel of what her life was like prior to immigrating to Australia in 1914. In the next couple of years Antoinette gathered more information for us including finding a cousin of my mothers that still lived in the area. We returned in June 2023 to meet this beautiful 93 year old lady who my mother never knew existed as she passed away in 2019. We even got to see the family home that my grandmother grew up in. I cannot recommend this place enough. They are thorough and very knowledgeable. Don’t hesitate to speak with them.Written 8 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BethBristol, UK1,010 contributionsVisited here as part of a hen party, Great fun even in the freezing cold completing tasks for farmers-wives-to-be e.g. chasing the cock, welly wanging, making Irish bread, walking the alpacas etc. Even got to try out a local traditional Irish dance! Plus we were treated to a very cute and yummy tea and scones!Written 11 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael B1 contributionStaff were really friendly. Fascinating history behind it and the castle has been well restored. Amazing views from the top on a clear day of the surrounding beauty. Would well recommend a tour to Dysart Castle and I will definitely be back.Written 6 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - phillmindedDüsseldorf, Germany20 contributionsGot a pointer from our Airbnb hosts to visit this pub. And, since there is not much else around, figured why not? And this pub amazingly captures the atmosphere of a small village.
We got rewarded with traditional Irish live music played by around a dozen guys and gals, some great declamations of poetry and, of course, some nice pints in a great atmosphere. Really loved that evening of our trip in particular, would definitely recommend.Written 16 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was great to hear about the ecological phenomenon of the Burren along with the heritage and history of the people who live in and around it. We were treated to a parade of butterflies and break-taking views. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland.Written 28 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
