What travellers are saying
- DBrent21Williamsburg, KY26 contributionsMy wife and I made the short drive from Sevierville TN to the Bush's Visitor Center. As soon as we walked through the door we were treated like family! The ladies at the visitor center were very friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. The museum itself was very informative. Several videos are throughout the museum telling the history of the community and the Bush Beans company. We were impressed by how much the Bush Beans company has given back to the community over the decades. However, beware of the gift shop, there are so many cool things in there you may spend more money than you had planned! We have a great time at the visitor's center. Highly recommend as a side adventure on a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains area.Written 20 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ruth D2 contributionsWe rented a pontoon for the day and took it out on this beautiful lake. You will not be disappointed! Beautiful lake and surroundings. - Bob MSevierville, TN3 contributionsThe rental went great. Staff were competent and very thorough in covering safety and operation of the boat. They warned us of possible t-storms later in the day and got a contact number to warn us.
The boat was very clean, well equipped, and everything worked - not always common on rentals.
We tube a lot and suggest that the knotted up rope be replaced because the shortened rope put riders squarely in the prop wash.
But overall we had a great day on a pretty mountain lake.Written 31 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I can’t find anything on the web about it. Thanks.Written 17 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TimeshareVonMilwaukee, WI8,998 contributionsOur group of 7 was staying in Pigeon Forge for a family event. Seven of us decided to book a 4 hour pontoon boat trip while in town. Booking online was smooth without any surprises. The rate was very reasonable and had no add-on fees (like gas or insurance). Even better pizza & ice cream after our time on the water, was provided at no additional charge.
The only inconvenience was the lack of parking at the marina, which required our parking up the hill, and getting shuttled back down to the dock. I'm guessing we were very early in the 2023 season, as there seemed to be a little lack of coordination but everyone was kind & accommodating to our group. Folks will want to allow this added time (at least 15-20 minutes) for the shuttle after checking in at the main Inn's desk.
We did experience a storm that rolled in as we were completing our 3rd hour, so we returned to the marina and received at refund for our last unused hour . . . just as advertised.
The Hunt Brothers pizza were excellent and the ice cream capped off a great dayWritten 12 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very nice lady to greet us. It was a pleasure just spending an hour looking all of the items nicely displayed on each floor.
I really enjoyed myself. Bought 3 beautiful Peacock Feathers for a plant display at home.

Surprisingly, my email was promptly responded to by the director, Jennifer Ackley, who was incredibly accomodating, even arranging for my tour on New Year's Eve. The tour was amazing and I wish I could remember the name of the young lady who conducted it. She was passionate about her work and the animals and was clearly very knowledgeable. The wolf dogs are so well cared for and loved that it left me with a warm feeling when I left. I encourage anyone who loves wolves and wolf dogs to support this organization. - Juli BJacksonville, FL60 contributionsSmall but rather interesting-- None of the head stones are intact, but hat do you expect after 200 years!Written 1 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- gram777New Jersey442 contributionsVery nice little welcome center! An enthusiastic man helped us with some great historical details ( dh and I LOVE our history!) He sent us to the historical courthouse - glad he did! I loved the architecture & the Civil War & Davey Crockett artifacts!
My husband is a retired LEO & he enjoyed chatting with the sheriff while I chatted with the sweetest local man who worked there! We both loved it!Written 9 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great fishing and very convenient store on the dock with all the live bail and tackle you would need for a great day of fishing, the store also has snacks and drinks and they also sell beer and ice. Don't worry if you don't have a fishing license because you can get one at the store in minutes. The only down fall here is that the sewage (where the campers are) always seems to back up and doesn't smell very good.
Swanns offers cabin rentals, camper spots for long term, boat slips and they have a boat ramp with easy access. Lots of good restaurants around and fun places to explore. Oh and they have the best 4th of July fireworks every year at no cost. The dock does have access for free wifi.Written 18 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was intrigued by all of the baked goods and grab-and-go items they listed each day, and eager to pick up some fresh produce. Upon pulling in I wasn't quite sure if they were open or not, but they were. I walked into the small storefront to be met with shelves of locally made soaps, a freezer stocked with locally grown meats, a grab-and-go cooler, and a table full of produce. It's small but there's a lot packed in there. I had hoped to see more produce, and more local produce at that. They did have melons grown on their farm as well as some squash and a couple of other items grown by them. The other produce appeared to be from other regional farms. I picked up some squash, some type of blueberry cake, and some chicken salad. I had hoped for peaches but they were well past their prime, when I drew my hand out of the bucket it was wet and stirred up a slurry of bugs. I think they need to pick through the produce each night and get rid of anything too far gone so the whole lot doesn't get spoiled. The baked goods all looked wonderful, and the cake I picked up was delicious as was the chicken salad. Fixing the squash tonight but it looks like..squash, so I'm going to go ahead and call that one a win as well. Overall it's certainly worth a stop and I will drop in again when driving through, particularly to buy some locally farmed meats. I think it's a little *too* disheveled looking, and could benefit from a slight tidying up if for no other reason than to appear clean to uber picky customers.Written 23 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
