- Zeke WattlesPortland, OR1 contributionsuper weird creepy hotel, lots of fun to explore, good food too and the pool/hot tub area is fun. great to bring people from out of town.Written 12 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KellyChesapeake, VA2 contributionsWhat a fun taste of the weird local flavor! Dresden was a very welcoming and knowledgeable host. He facilitated meaningful conversations amongst our group that created a level of human interaction that was above and beyond any expectations I had. When the night was over, I had an affinity for Portland that I caught by seeing it through Dresden's eyes.Written 13 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Yuri SPortland, OR136 contributionsVery good beer here. Good location with parking. Nice snacks. If you want to visit a brewery, consider this one.Written 11 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- beerwriterIndian Harbour Beach, FL1,480 contributionsThis brewpub, one of the earlier beer venues in the city known as "Beervana", will close forever at the end of August, 2017. It's a small, quiet, even contemplative bar better suited for a beer with a book than a rowdy evening. Prices are low, especially for the food. Visit for the history and for a Chernobyl Stout, one of the first examples of the Russian Imperial Stout beer style brewed in the U.S.Written 30 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PdxerPortland, OR153 contributionsThis luxury theatre experience was all we hoped for and more. Although they have several movie theatres, we came for live music that did not disappoint. Comfort chairs, great acoustics, exceptional wine list, full bar, and delicious food. Menu dinner specials change regularly and are shown on iPad tableside...quite enticing. Did not capture pics of all plates but trust me...delish! Complex flavors and lovely plates that show an attention to detail. Very friendly, knowledgeable service. Highly recommend.Written 18 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Greg BOrange, California, United States3 contributionsI wish I could write a review of this wine shop that is as hip and informative as this establishment...I can’t! I have been wine tasting well over a hundred times and experienced nothing that equals this. It’s a paradigm shifter.
Jeffrey is very knowledgeable but specializes in relating wines to culture. My friends and I enjoyed our Game of Thones tasting. The wines were not GoT wines, they were biodiverse wines from around the world. The idea was to match the wine to the character descriptions for important GoT characters. Now, don’t be afraid, he can pour more traditional tastings and/or relate the wines to other cultural phenomena.
Suffice it to say, everyone in our group loved it. If you’re in Portland and want a one-of-a-kind wine experience, check out Pairings.Written 13 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kevin BDenver, CO454 contributionsI have been to a lot of comedy clubs and enjoy helium the most. Been to both Portland and Philadelphia. Their clubs actually have space to eat and drink and you don’t feel cramp. Drinks are decent and food looked good but I did not try. Service was quick and friendly. Door guy was a bit rude but I am sure he is dealing with drunks all night.Written 5 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ItalophiliaSan Francisco, CA45 contributionsGood food. My son loved the dates wrapped in bacon. Outdoor seating was not ideal on a busy street but all indoor seating were taken.Written 8 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dan WPortland, OR1,983 contributionsBarBar is still our place even through the pandemic. The outdoor patio is superb; covered, a film on the big screen and several fire pits and overhead heaters for chilly evenings. Besides the great classic burger, the onion rings are about the best I’ve had. The BTA (bacon, tomato and arugula is a great item as wellWritten 18 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michael APortland, OR44 contributionsIf you are in town on Monday nights around 7pm, go to J Bar on 23rd Ave. in the Northwest section of Portland. Lots of great music lead by the Dan Balmer Group. Have a great dinner or just drinks and enjoy original mellow jazz from our favorite local guitarist. The three-piece combo is an institution here and well worth the trip. We go every chance we get.Written 17 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RSNNPortland, OR6,303 contributionsIt was a joy being able to see Beats Antique at the Crystal ballroom. Always a pleasure and the highlight of my year if I can make it to their concert here. They put on some wild and awesome dance routines mixing belly dance with various other influences along with the music the band plays.
You can drink and watch the show from up in the balcony. You can stand down on the floor in the over 21 area and watch the chow closer up with your drink. Or you can go to the all ages side and try to get as close to the stage as you can. This is what I always end up doing after I've had a couple great McMenamins drinks to get primes and ready to embrace the music and show.
The decor of the Crystal Ballroom is amazing. you have round murals of people dancing and musicians playing. There are two impressive chandeliers hanging from the ceiling It is like a music palace beyond compare. Nothing like it anywhere. It is such an icon. It is truly an amazing venue for life music.Written 15 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ScottD58Kirkland, WA1,675 contributionsWas looking to watch a little football and smoke a cigar on Sunday. Kells cigar room is open whenever they’re open. Got a front row seat for the TV in a well ventilated downstairs cigar room which has a small but functional humidor. Drinks are reasonable as in most Irish Pubs.
This room was part of the Shanghai underground tunnel system that linked the port to the city. Cool historic vibe with plenty of space for you or your group.Written 30 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
