Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We got there late but our campsites were waiting for us. It's a small campground. I only saw one loop. It was very quiet. It's up in the forest but I could see the Pacific Ocean through the trees. It's only 10 miles to a restaurant. And I had AT&T cell service.

Beware riding to/from the campground around sundown. Deer aplenty.

This is a beauty and so is the surrounding area. Everywhere you look the scenery is spectacular. This is a must stop on your coast trip.

We visited this museum while traveling up the Oregon coast. It's a little off the beaten path but not too hard to find. It's in a very pretty spot with great views of the coast. The museum includes one of the rescue boats used when the station was in operation. The inside area has a variety of relics and historical pieces and is very nicely done. There are also some trails on the property that get you closer to the water.

This is definitely worth the stop.

Just a quick stop that took over a half hour. It is a beautiful and haunting in a way because of the history of this place. Stop a look at this historic place.

The campground is clean and well maintained, the bathrooms too. The campground itself was nice, good camp hosts, nice trails, good access to the beach. Bring earplugs for sleeping as Highway 101 is RIGHT next to the campground and can be loud at times (when trucks go by) especially if you are in any of sites in the smaller loops or the road-side sites in the larger loop. Of the 5 days we were there we only spent the majority of one day in the camp site, other than that we were hiking, sight-seeing, and/or on the beach. Seems like a good kid-friendly campground as well.

The home is closed to tours because of COVID. It is on the road to Cape Blanco Lighthouse. We got out and snooped around. It is a beautiful spot. Hard to believe people lived there in 1898. Talk about off the grid.

This area with it's hiking trails, views and remains of the Coast Guard Station gives a window into the power of the sea and those that dare to go upon it. ,

The Hawthorne Gallery is unlike any other gallery you'll experience, not just in Port Orford or the coast, anywhere! Your senses are greeted with an array of vibrant colors, shapes, materials and creativity in one of the most spectacular locations in Oregon. Many of the 30 artists are local, 10 are part of the Hawthorne family, all are unique. It is a must see place whether you visit once or often.

I had heard really great things about this Park so we made sure to stop here along our drive down the coast. There is a really neat sea Cave down near the big rocks, but unfortunately, the trail here looked like it had not been maintained since the winter, and the path down was really overgrown to the point to where it was just not worth it for us to walk through shoulder high grass all the way down there. We unfortunately just took a few photos from the top. I'm sure when the path is properly maintained this stop is probably a really great one.
