What travellers are saying
- Sonia G1 contributionI can't recommend this experience more! 10/10 A++++++
It was an amazing, 3 generation, memory for a lifetime! From 8 years old, teenage girls and adults, it will be remembered forever.
Not only was it amazing because of the hands on experience, but the staff are some of the most AMAZING folks around, 2 legs and 4!
Thank you, we WILL be back!Written 10 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Todd AMill Creek, WA833 contributionsMerchandised perfectly . . - danamanilaSparks, NV40 contributionsI visited this shop while visiting Oregon about a week ago. Initially, when looking at the kites a recommendation was given for a kite but I made the bad decision to go cheaper. That was a mistake. The kite I chose was not the right kind to fly on the beach in strong wind. I called the shop and asked if I could upgrade to the kite that was recommended. The owner said yes and long story short the next few days we had so much fun flying our kite. It is durable and beautiful and so easy to fly. My kids had a great time. Thank you so much Kite Company for being knowledgeable and nice.Written 10 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jngibert6 contributionsHaven’t tried the many other candies offered in this shop; we always stop in for the overfilled bags of freshly made caramel popcorn. We think it’s a great deal. Cash only though.Written 19 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dan WPortland, OR1,983 contributionsWe stopped in while visiting the waterfront. The name alone is a welcome sign. The staff is nice, they have a large variety of items for dogs, cats, and people. A great place to find something special for your pet.Written 6 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- IdahoGirl83716Boise, ID333 contributionsDriving up to the Oregon Oyster Farm you might be scratching your head and/or thinking to yourself, "Hell, no, I'm NOT going in there." First of all it's in the middle of nowhere. Secondly, it looks closed. Actually it looks like it's been closed for well, about 10 years. BUT NO! Force yourself to go in and buy to your hearts desire. Fresh oysters to eat there, smoked oysters to take with you, oysters to have shipped home - it's all there waiting for you to be brave enough to step inside. Be prepared for no ambiance what-so-ever save the authentic and cool oyster farm/factory THAT IT IS. Highly recommend.Written 8 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Ned KNewberg, OR238 contributionsChuck Forinash is an amazing local coastal photographer and his gallery is filled with many of his works, from simple prints to elegant framings! We just got one of his latest, the Yaquina Bay Bridge with snow in the foreground, a rare sight indeed!Written 7 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dan WPortland, OR1,983 contributionsThe staff at the front door welcomed us and we took time to to browse in this MIO outpost on the bay front. All kinds of local items and souvenirs with a good inventory of items.Written 6 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Dan WPortland, OR1,983 contributionsThis is a nice shop located in a small complex of shops along the waterfront area. They have very nice hand crafted glass products - I was impressed with the quality as well as the number of items for sale.Written 6 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- riggsinnprinceton9 contributionsI have been in the shop many times and have bought many gift items of high quailty worldwide select treasures in Jovi's. The name comes from the combo of the first names of the two women who own the shop. I love that they feature "free trade" items. It is very small and a bit cramped giftshop so that when you turn around you discover yet many other treasure. A few years ago I remember being warmly greeted by the owners and one of the owners daughters. Always helpful and smiling however this hospitality is changing to cold matter of fact assistance. I have been very dissapointed the last few times in when I had indeed bought items today I just walked out feeling unappreciated as a customer. If this review is read by them I would hope they can reestablish the friendlier service the use to provide. Still worth a visit if you are in Nye Beach area.Written 26 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Shirley GSpringfield, OR1,865 contributionsWe made a point of searching this House of Spirits out. Arriving around 1 pm we were the only guests. Felt good with COVID hanging around.
Staffer was friendly, provided information about the bourbons we were interested in and very professional.
We both ordered the bourbon sampler flights. Sample flights included four 1/2 ounce samples. It was a sticker shock when our total for two flight samples came to $40. Had of we asked the price we most likely would have passed and ordered drinks.
Rogue micro-brews on tap for our next visit.Written 3 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - half-BritOregon Coast49,301 contributionsI really enjoy reading a good 'beach book' when on vacation at the coast, and this is the perfect store to find an inexpensive used book. The store is located on the west side of 101, right near the intersection of 101 and Hurbert Street. There is parking in the small lot just to the west, but no RV parking.
I usually wander back directly to the 'mystery' section, since mystery/suspense books are my favourite. There are all kinds of books though, enough to please everybody's taste. This bookstore is independently owned.
It's close enough to walk to if you're staying in the Nye Beach area and is no more than 5 minutes' walk from the hotels on Elizabeth Street.Written 25 August 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KTerrelRichland, WA97 contributionsThis gallery is one that you do not immediately notice. However, once you enter, you are immediately enchanted by the variety of the art. Some is more natural in nature, other pieces are breathtaking in their complexity. Artisans are there at different times and can teach you things about the art and/or Coast. Well worth popping in for a look.Written 7 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
