What travellers are saying
- Anuschka22Hannover, Germany104 contributionsThe guys wer so nice and explained very well what they do and how. We made a piece ourselves and they were really patient and helpful, also with our 9 year old son! Thanks so much!Written 3 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Susan M5 contributionsWildlife Images in Grants Pass, Oregon is a phenomenal place to see wildlife close up in as natural environment as possible. Their motto is “saving wildlife” and they do that through rehabilitation, education, preservation and conservation. They take in native species that are hurt, orphaned or sick and work to get the animal to the goal of releasing the animal back to the area they were found. This is done at no cost to the people bringing in the animals in. If the animal is out of pain but cannot survive in the wild, they keep or find a center that cares for them the rest of their lives. A full-time vet is on staff as well as dedicated group of staff and volunteers. The park is beautifully wooded and animal enclosures are constantly changed so the animals are constantly introduced to new items to keep their minds engaged. Many animals there live well beyond a typical life span in the wild. And if you go often to see their personalities come out! From a bear who hates broccoli to a crow who mimics the “caw” humans speak to it. You will never safely be that close to an Alaskan Brown Bear, wolves, Bob cats, birds of prey and many more wonderful and interesting species!Written 22 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - profhiker10 contributionsexceptional experience. The personnel, the wine, the cheese board...all contributed to a lovely experience. All the wines were good, I loved about half and bought about a quarter. I highly recommend a visit to this quaint little winery.Written 29 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rustie DPortland, OR58 contributionsWhile this "museum" isn't what you'd expect, it is so much fun to go through and see how the Grants Pass bears are tended. Our friend loves the bears that appear every spring/summer on the downtown street corners, so we took her to see the bears that stay inside. It was so much fun and the kids that were in our tour group loved the interactive portion. It's free, just make a reservation and enjoy a 45-60 minute adventure.Written 23 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adrienne CNew York City, NY254 contributionsWe stumbled upon Troon Vineyards purely by chance - drove too far past our original vineyard destination and saw Troon was right next door. But boy, we were happy we stayed! This place is straight out of a storybook. A lush and secluded private garden coupled with rolling hills and grapevines as far as the eye can see. The wine tasting we did was low key and lovely. A perfect way to spend the afternoon. I could relax all day in that garden! Another highlight was walking by the grapes after we had finished the tasting. This was definitely one of the main highlights of our trip.Written 23 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BrookeCJamestown, NY62 contributionsWe stayed overnight here and had to drive over to see the gigantic caveman!
What’s even cuter are the bears by the sign. The building wasn’t open yet and we actually got sprayed by the sprinklers when we came around the backside of the caveman but it was worth checking out for sure.
Parking lot behind the building is easy to get into.Written 19 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And their annual Fall/ Halloween festival throughout October shouldn't be missed!Written 21 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Henry WPortland, OR20 contributionsAfter visiting Rosella's we cancelled our other wine tasting stops! The owner poured, and was friendly. The red blend was excellent. This is a very laid-back tasting experience, with little (or no) marketing hype or pressure.Written 24 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
