Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really enjoyed this tour to experience a bit of Ajijic & Lake Chapala. It is all day and a bit fast paced therefore be prepared to take a whole day to do this. We didn't think the restaurant was very good or maybe it was what we ordered. However it has a beautiful view of Lake Chapala. I do recommend this trip as it is safe way to see a bit of everything offered. The boat trip after lunch was lots of fun!

This was a nice tour. Our guide was very nice and full of information. Our first stop was at Vicente Fernandez’s ranch on the way to the lake. We were able to take a quick picture outside the gated home. Then we were able to walk around the main Chapala area with our guide. We also paid an additional fee to take a small fishing boat for a short cruise in the lake. We then had lunch on the lake in Ajijic. Lunch wasn’t included in the price but we enjoyed the food recommendation from our guide. Over all a good excursion. If you want time to shop around you may need to take a full day excursion because we didn’t really have time or maybe not do a boat ride.

Easily one of the best things I’ve done on my trip to Guadalajara. Guillermo and Fernando weren’t just great guides but also great company. I particularly enjoyed seeing and hearing about the history of Mezcala Island, a must see if you are in the area. The trip is truly worth the time and cost as everything is tailored to what you want to do in this area. If you are interested in Mexican history, this tour will definitely give you a new outlook on the rich culture in this region. Thank you again to Guillermo for the safe driving and Fernando for sharing his deep knowledge of Chapala.

We took a chance on this tour with zero reviews. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for one day to get to know the areas outside of Guadalajra. Samuel, our guide was extremely knowledgeable in areas we visited and provided a wealth of information to accompany the tour and things to do on our remaining days here. He was extremely flexible on the time spent for each one of the sites and even offered to stop off at the pharmacy for my wife. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Guadalajra.

We were so thrilled to have this opportunity to explore lake chapala and nearby Ajajic. Luis as our guide for the day did a great job of keeping us informed and entertained. It was incredibly enjoyable and this tour has the most beautiful views and landscape of the area. Don't miss this one!

As expats who llve in a different part of Mexico, we wanted to see the allure of Lake Chapala and Ajijic. The tour guide spoke English; however, he did not seem as passionate to share the history and culture of Mexico as the guides we had from other tour companies in Guadalajara. He basically drive us up and let us out to walk aroumd the plazas and malecons on our own. This tour was very expensive for an Uber driver experience.
