Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Mary Lynne KLima, NY45 contributionsAs we researched destinations for our August 2015 vacation, we knew we would spend an overnight in Dickinson ND. As we looked at things to do, we put this Dakota Dinosaur Museum on our list, and we are very glad we did. We visited on a windy and rainy day, so there were "more" visitors than normal according to the staff, but it was not at all crowded. All the displays are very well done, and there is more than just a few dinosaur bones to look at. Lots of great information and great samples of many rocks, etc. We had fun in the gift shop buying things for our grandchildren. Very worthwhile, and doesn't take a lot of time. Certainly recommend for anyone in the area!Written 26 September 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- L6SeithMantua, OH114 contributionsWe took our two boys (10 & 9 yrs old) & they truly enjoyed it. Our oldest is a rock/fossil enthusiast and there were A LOT of rocks/fossils. Our youngest enjoyed the dinosaur part of the exhibit. My husband & I liked the little part that was the history of Dickinson. It was very little, but great for how small & the cost!Written 28 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 66MarlaLewisville, NC156 contributionsWe had found the Ukrainian Cultural Institute in information on ideas of what to do in Dickinson, ND. We were treated to a brief history of the Unkrainians and their move to ND in the late 1890's. We saw the beautiful altar where some services are held and items from the early Ukrainians in this area. Well worth the stop.Written 4 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- cdenoiSioux Falls, SD740 contributionsThe park game bed you a nice overview of prairie town life. There's a beautiful Veterans chapel and a WW I style victory garden adjacent to a house built during that era. Only problem was not every building had signage so if you visit after hours or in our case, on the 4th of July you weren't able to access a brochure. Nice walk in a beautiful park.Written 4 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Patti WRenton, WA672 contributionsThis was a interesting addition to the other museums all conveniently located together off freeway exit. The large warehouse was refreshingly cool on a very hot day. I saw machinery and a wooden box home I'd never seen before. There is also an exhibit where you can test your skills on matching what sound goes with what old machinery.Written 19 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
