Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had no intention of purchasing anything significant in Greece. However we found this wonderful art gallery amid the bustle of Thira. Nicholas showed us a number of paintings, was very knowledgeable about their artists and convinced us to invest. The whole proces was conducted very professionally.

My wife and I walked into this shop because we were interested in some leather bracelets. I saw them and thought they would make a good gift for someone back home. While looking at the choices I picked out two that I liked for myself. An older fellow came over and he asked why we were looking at these items. I asked how much they were and he said 15 Euro each, not bad. I told him that one is a potential gift. He then said in a light tone:"if it is a gift then they cost 40 Euro each". I picked out 3 in total and then asked how much for all three completely expecting him to say 45 Euro. What followed was a confusing jumble of prices, small talk and diversion. All the while he was putting the bracelets into bags for us. Since he was playing a bit so did I by tossing down 25 Euro saying that was for all 3. He started talking how these were worth 120 Euro, crazy. I pulled out another 60 Euro which I was going to offer instead of the 25 which was on the counter. The old bugger grabbed the 60 Euro out of my hand while scooping up the 25 that was on the counter. I started to protest and he said: "Americans always expect to get everything for nothing". I was put on my heels right away and I responded with "I am not American, I am Canadian", like it matters either way. It doesn't matter where you are from you should be treated with respect unless you have done something to deserve otherwise. To my announcement that I was Canadian he responded by telling me that Canadians have done nothing for Greece implying that we don't deserve any respect. He also said that Canadians show up with their flag on their backpacks expecting better treatment but they don't deserve it. I was stunned and speechless. Here he was stating that I don't deserve his respect and on the other hand he is ripping me off!! I did not know what to do so I left the shop but this event bothered me over the next two days so I went back to return the goods. When I showed up the old guy wasn't there but a woman who I approached. I told her what happened and that I wanted to return the goods and get my money back. Right away she LIED to me, saying that the old guy doesn't work here any more and that he has moved to Egypt. WHAT?? In two days he was fired and moved to Egypt?? What a load of garbage. When I didn't leave she tried to deflect my attention by saying that I have to talk to the owner of the shop about this because "no shop in Greece provides refunds to customers", unbelievable. I already spoke to locals about this and I knew that this was another lie. Another man was in the shop who was supposedly the husband of the owner so went and talked to him. He obviously had no control over this shop he looked like a deer caught in headlights while I spoke to him. I remained polite but firm the whole time and I assume she figures out I wasn't going anywhere so she offered to call the old guy. In Egypt I suppose. Anyway we got him on the phone and he tried to explain that I misunderstood his insults the other day but I did not relent. The man on the phone told the woman to refund my money. All the while she was getting the money out she tried to use guilt against me saying that the old man's actions have nothing to do with the shop and my revenge is hurting the store. She said that I need to confront the old man since the problem is between us. I disagreed with her and said that the employees in the shop represent the business, always. The final thing she said as she handed my money back was yet another insult to Canadians. I quote: "now I know that the only thing that Canadians care about is money and it doesn't matter who they hurt. I was always remember Canadians this way now". I remained polite and thanked her for the refund and left the shop. STAY AWAY from this establishment!

I never thought I would ever fall in love with an oil! I stumbled into this shop just because of the lovely scent and friendly lady smiling at her door. Unlike persistent sales person, she had so much more warmth and a genuine helpful character. The oils are absolutely amazing and my favourite is the primrose! If you are in Santorini this place is a little gem of a shop!. I won’t be visiting Santorini again but I know I will ordering my primrose very soon!

I had heard about this shop and made sure we stopped there while in Fira. The pieces in here are truly unique - my friend bought a few things as she couldn't choose just one! We met the owner, who was very nice and chatted with us while we looked around. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something a little different.

If you're looking for books about the fascinating island of Santorini, this is the place. It's got a wonderful stock of books for both adults and children and, while it also stocks some nice souvenirs, it's also a haven of intelligence and thoughtfulness in a town that's often overwhelmed by tourists. Your one-stop shop for soul and body. If you're approaching from the bus terminal it's on your way to the town centre, but if you're coming from another direction you'll need to aim downhill and inland a few little blocks. Absolutely worth seeking out if you want to know about this amazing island, it's history, archaeology and geography.

Beautiful items in here. The owner is passionate, kind, and knowledgable about every product. Looking around and asking questions are welcome and you instantly become mesmerized by all the beauty in the craftsmanship of each art piece. My husband bought a stunning marble replica of Zeus. The owner packed it up well and now it's part of our entertainment stand in our new home. Lovely eye-catching piece and a unique store/experience you don't want to miss out on when in Fira!

Take your time to enjoy the different collection in this gallery, where they house unique pieces of some pretty talented Greek artists.

The staff were friendly, helpful and well informed about the different collection & artists, sharing details & background on specific collections of interest to us.

We even got details for international shipping possibilities if we want to consider shipping home, such a great option.

This place is so worth a visit- unique & inspiring.

This was my favourite jewellery shop in Santorini! Their sterling silver jewellery is absolutely beautiful and excellent quality, and as other reviewers have mentioned, very reasonably priced. It’s a great place to buy pieces for yourself or gifts for others—there is a lot of variety to choose from, with some exquisite and unique designs. The service is also wonderful—this is a family-owned business and the owner Costas is really nice, kind and knowledgeable. I took a little time to choose my purchases and Costas was so patient and helpful, I didn’t feel pressured in any way. I ended up buying earrings and a necklace from Lapis and will treasure them.
    Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed walking round the shop and would've bought a few things but the price of the larger things were way over the top. If a sale of over 50% takes place please let me know otherwise it will be a showroom for me...
