Small but impressive museum that exhibits the finding from Akrotiri. Well worth the visit. Better to buy the full ticket of 15 euro to see all 3 archealogical sites of Santorini.

One of the best spots for photography, caldera, sunset. The light is amazing, prefer to go offseason in order to avoid a lot of people.

Great place to visit. The church is absolutely beautiful, I wish I could have taken photos on the inside.

There’s also plenty to do, food, shopping, a museum. Absolutely breathtaking

A must in my opinion. If only for the photo opportunity. The cable car takes you down to the old port and the views are tremendous. Definitely worth the €6 and a far better way to access the old port rather than the barbaric donkey rides up and down the hundreds of stairs. Definitely a better idea getting the cable car back up too rather than climbing the hundreds of stairs in the heat.

Beautiful little cathedral overlooking the bay. Traditionally styled with an outside courtyard space and nicely decorated interior that is not too gaudy as many orthodox churches are.

This is a real hidden gem. Led by Jenny, we enjoyed a personal insight into the home and way of life of a family on the island in years gone by.
I wont list the exhibits or spoil any surprises suffice it say that the modest (€5 each) entrance fee was money well spent for our 45 minute visit.

Just wanted to thank Yiannis for an amazing afternoon of wine tasting. We have experienced several wine tasting experiences on the island and this was by far the best. Great wine in a lovely of the beaten track location. Would recommend this over all the others.

Beautiful church. One thing I loved was the mural and the chandelier that hung.

Unfortunately, there were no details found about the church. I didn't see any historical markings and I only speak English so speaking with the attendant was a bit challenging. I would have loved to learn more about the church’s history.

Needless to say, it's beautiful and worth seeing.

This convent is located across a narrow street from the Duomo, we visited twice during our stay and the chapel within the convent was closed both times, but the church was open. This is the oldest Catholic nunnery in Greece, originally founded in 1595. The current building dates from 1864, but was damaged and repaired after the 1956 earthquake. The church within the convent grounds is the Church of the Virgin of the Rosary was consecrated in 1825. In the sanctuary behind the altar is the icon of Our Lady of the Rosary with St. Dominic and St. Catherine flanked by statues of St. Joseph and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Be careful with the short old bellied guy that makes the dispatch at the Fira bus station.
It makes you think that the bus goes to the airport, sells you the tickets, then once in the bus the driver says it goes to the port.
Just in time we managed to get off the bus and collect out luggage. We were a few in this situation (maybe 10?).
The short guy was very rude when we asked for a refund.
The drivers are really really nicer than this bast…d
Because of him we all could have ended up missing our planes.
Maybe his brother runs a taxi company ;-)

Now you’re aware this guy can ruine your vacation

The Archeology Museum was a very short visit as they only had one exhibition open and it was only in Greek and French. To be fair, we were told that when we went in and it only cost €3 but it was still disappointing.

Looking through the reviews here, a lot of the photos are actually from the Prehistoric Museum of Thera.

Easily missed near the entrance to the cable car this is a fascinating insight into the history of a local family and an overview of the story of the island. The curator was very welcoming and gave me an extensive introduction to the Thera eruptions and the documents on show. Some of the material may be a bit dry for some tastes but it's worth a wander round to get the feel of life in a Theran mansion with contemporary furniture and paintings etc.

We had no intention of purchasing anything significant in Greece. However we found this wonderful art gallery amid the bustle of Thira. Nicholas showed us a number of paintings, was very knowledgeable about their artists and convinced us to invest. The whole proces was conducted very professionally.
