Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was one scenic drive that was as advertised - a MUST DO. After a stop in the Ranger station where the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, we set off along the Kanc. Here's an excerpt from the Kanc's website:

"The Kancamagus Scenic Byway takes you through a path cut through the White Mountain National Forest with breathtaking views of the White Mountains, the Swift River, Sabbaday Falls, Lower Falls and Rocky Gorge. The Kanc takes you to an elevation of just under 3,000 feet at its highest point at Kancamagus Pass on the flank of Mt. Kancamagus near Lincoln, NH."

That tells the story better than I can - scenic lookouts along the way. Great fall color. Leisurely pace. Photos Ops everywhere. Really words don't do this justice. Swift River views, Falls. All that in under 35 miles.

We have taken many scenic drives over the years. This one more than lives up to its reputation!

We actually wound up driving a portion of it again the next day on a (fruitless, but scenic) hunt to spot moose.

Let me start out with - when the weather is nice this place can fill up with people fast.
A NH park pass is required.
Parking in November was not an issue.
The walk was a little wet so hiking boots or shoes are recommended.
The falls were really nice but I can imagine in spring they would be even better.
    I highly recommend a visit,
    We’ll be back

You can park on Cathedral Ledge Road and a very short and easy walk up to the fenced in ledge. The view is awesome and you can see North Conway center from this location!!!

Scenic ride, but a bit underwhelmed in the overall experience. There was nothing remarkable, like most of the other railways riding on service tracks to a small souvenir town and back. Nice restored and comfortable, with snacks served on board. Glad I did it once, but would not rush back unless for holiday or themed occasion

Like so many outlets or malls you can tell that shopping online has impacted settlers green. However, if you look online in advance and simply target the couple of stores you’d like to check out it’s a great option. We went to Coach, Eddie Bauer, Timberland, and Clark’s. All of them were clean, well staffed, friendly and helpful. Best of all is tax free New Hampshire shopping.

Fun place for kids (over 5) and adults. Nice staff. Lines are bearable except by the zip line where the lines are very long.

Beautiful hike with different options to get to the top. Really gets your heart pumping, but easy enough for the whole family.

We have been to Northern Extremes multiple times. Every time it is perfect from checking in to pulling in on our skis at the end of day.
The trails are always groomed, the skis are in perfect condition and the staff is awesome. There are other places we could go but why take the chance when you know you have a good thing! See you next season!!

This scenic, safe, grassy, and pleasant public park was in the village’s heart and near the Conway Scenic Railway. Among its amenities were paved paths, benches, a children’s play area, a baseball field, a skating area, a fountain, and nearby clean public restrooms at a community center. Free parking was curbside or in nearby paved lots. We liked all that we found here; we disliked nothing.

We are not "real" hikers, but do enjoy the outdoors. This trail was not difficult; it crossed streams on rocks a couple times and was uphill most of the way out. In parts it was muddy and rocky. At the end, we took the wrong path and almost missed what I think were the falls...we went up, not down and around. I would like to go again sometime, now that I know what it's like. Not crowded at all; we went the day after Memorial Day-saw a few people and a couple dogs.

Immaculately constructed HO model of the North Conway area. The volunteers who escort visitors are friendly and knowledgable. Plan at least 1/2 hour to enjoy this display.

Some "outlets" are really not worth your time. THIS is definitely worth the time. Great selection of clothes, housewares, and outdoors equipment. Very polite and helpful staff. Its well worth the stop when you are in North Conway.

Loved this store! Beautiful handmade items for you or for gifts. Very reasonable prices and even if something's a little out of your budget, it's lovely to look at! Very glad we stopped here. You can walk here from the center of town or there is a convenient parking area diagonally across the street. Definitely worth a stop for farly priced, quality artisan souvenirs.
