It is much less busy during weekdays. Thursday evening through the weekend can be a little chaotic. We weary of street performers and random people trying to hand you things on the street. They will ask for a picture with you or hand you a CD and demand payment for it. Unless you're willing to pay strangers for something you didn't ask for, it's best to avoid eye contact completely with these people. Other than that, the people watching and site seeing is great!

The fountains are cool to watch during the day, but everyone must go watch them at night. The lights and the music really make it something to see. It gets crowded down there, but there’s really not a bad view from anywhere.

This was a neat place to check out while walking the strip. It's a great way to spend some time out of the sun. And it's an awesome place to take photos.

Such an educational experience, well worth the short drive from Las Vegas. Can't believe how the completed during the times of the depreciation.

Stopped by for a quick picture. Small parking lot but easily found a space. Line was not too long. Asked the family in front t of us to take a picture for us. Definitely not the best choice as the pictures the man took had the sign cut off so it read “To Las Veg Nevada” Fortunately my husband took selfies which turned out great.

Fremont Street is something to see, but please be prepared for what you will see...especially if you are bringing children. We went during the day, with teens, and I wanted to cover their eyes at times...lol. It is Vegas but just wanted to give parents with young children a heads up...I am sure it is even wilder at night.

If you are into cars and specifically Shelby, then this is a must. Entrance was free (at the time of our visit), so we spend a little bit more in the museum shop. Prices were very reasonable.

Get a break from the strip and head to Mt Charleston. We took a hike up to Mary Jane Falls and unfortunately, the winds were EXTREMELY high. We did not make it up to the peak, but we had a great time anyway. Being from Florida, it is rare to see snow, but on this trip, we did get to play in small snow patches around the trails. Tip if you are from low lying areas of the US... Be prepared to stop and catch your breath every now and then. The altitude on the hike reaches 8K-9K ft. If you are not used to it, you will feel it.

The most iconic free show in Las Vegas since 1989. Arrive at least 30-45 minutes before the earlier shows if you want to be on the fence otherwise there will be layers of spectators. Showtimes are 8p, 9p, 10p and 11p.

The spectacular production lasts about 5 minutes and you can even feel the heat from the volcano from across the water. I know that Vegas recreates itself to stay fresh and new but it’s going to sting a little when this quintessential landmark is no more.

Wynn/Encore one of the better places on the strip, classy, clean, great decor, a very pleasant environment to gamble. Like any high end place nothing is cheap or even reasonable, price is the price for nice. If your budget allows this place is great. With Resorts World across the street now that adds in more options for eating/gaming. Worth it if you got it.

Okay, first don’t bring anyone who’s troubled by lots of noise and flashing lights. Second, get there early and walk throughout to get a sense of what is there. Plan to spend a couple hours playing and enjoying yourself. The machines are lively and fun to play. If you’re 50+ you’ll be able to reminisce. There are also fresh machines to interest younger enthusiasts; and there are other games of chance along with items like Pac Man, Frogger, Galaga, etc Excellent way to be entertained for the price of a roll of quarters.

Stopped by with some friends on bikes. A lot of really cool stuff! Got ready to leave and a guy asked us to come with him to the back door and out comes Danny aka “The Count” and he was just super cool! Took pics with us and hung out a bit! Great experience! We didn’t expect to see people from the show since it is in fact a shop so I feel like we got lucky!

Plenty of places to eat, and some nice but expensive shops. It is air conditioned, and you can't help to look up and see the ceiling, the gondola's only seem to sing in certain spots on the journey. Just a nice place to wander around.

We were venturing away from the Freemont Experience and happened upon the Container Park. What a neat and unexpected experience. A city block of shops, restaurants, and other businesses. The outdoor air option was appreciated on the hot summer day. Everyone we encountered working were very polite. We ended up doing a little shopping of souvenirs while we were here.

Great mall to visit on the strip. You can’t go wrong. Good mix of stores for all budgets. After you shop make sure to visit El Sungundo for lunch or dinner.
