Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I found it an interesting visit and good coffee around the corner. Lots to look at there. If you are visiting downtown make time for this spot.

From research, I had expected to see lots of pedestrians on a closed street, with lots of outdoor dining. This was not what I found. Basically it is just a street with only bus traffic There are shops and restaurants, but all inside buildings on either side of the street and down side streets. The only reason to go is to see the Mary Tyler Moore Statue, on the corner of 7th.

If you enjoy work by creative eccentrics and outsider art, metal sculpture…then you’ll love this place. Metal artist Alan is a gem. Genuinely friendly and happy to show you around his large studio. He’s got an amazing car outside and a garden ‘planted’ with bowling balls. Free to visit but support the artist and make a donation in the box. Loved our visit here. Kids will enjoy it too.

The farmer's market spans the stretch between the Guthrie and Mill City Museum. This year, they have spread out vendors significantly even putting some across the street. Another change is the one way aisles. Face masks are the new fashion statement. Some vendors have a preorder option to make a quicker trip and lessen contact. I came here for the pie from Vikings and Goddesses. By 10:30, several types had sold out. The varieties available were smores and carrot coconut custard; I ordered one slice of each. Baker's Field also had some interesting items. They mill their own flour. Some of the items I wanted were sold out. I picked up some pretzels and a piece of bostok. The vendor describes this as a similar to a non-eggy French toast. It is too early in the year for most produce. There were a number of other vendors at the market.

It's good to get our of the weather in the Twin Cities and this court allows for that while at the same time providing lots of air and light. Places to shop and eat.

Mercado Centeal is full of fantastic food options one of my favorites is Tortilleria La Perla you must try the chicken tostado. The service could be better and the cleanliness could improve, but overall I would recommend as it’s a slice of Mexico in the middle of Minneapolis.

Calhoun square is a small shopping center in the heart of Uptown. It's a clean and compact mall with some apparel chain-stores, gym and some small restaurants/coffee shops. It's really nothing special because of the lack of creativity by the owners who consistently fail to diversify it and attract other businesses. Much

Found this on our way to an adjacent restaurant. You have to be "buzzed" in, but once inside you have access to a huge selection of Native American art and materials with which to create such.

We had a beautiful morning spent at the market...strolling around, sampling and buying cheese, produce, and checking out various vendors. Had a delicious mid morning snack while listening to live music and people-watching.

We shopped there and will be going again, now that we measured the space we have. This shop has great prices, and interesting mix, and is well organized. Fun! The coffee and cookies were good too.

Some very good Native American artists sell some surprisingly good arts and crafts here. Even if you don't buy anything, you'll enjoy the visit. Prices are fair, quality is very good.

The gallery has art work from many local Artists. Friendly staff on hand to answer any questions or help with purchases. The house itself is also worth a good look.

We were looking for a neighborhood market that was full of "real" grassroots purveyors of their own products and goods - not re-sellers of bulk products. We came away with a number of delicious and unique handmade cheeses (garlic & dill quark, $6 from Turnip Rock Farm in Clear Lake WI and Love Tree Farmstead Cheese in Grantsburg WI, $10 each), the cutest little hand knitted booties for our 4 day old granddaughter and a few jars of pickles and canned peaches. An interesting vendor was Calvit's Drinking Shrubs- a very potent (in a good way) mixer to flavor soft drinks or cocktails, the flavors were just outstanding! Prices were very reasonable in our experience and the venders great to visit with! Parking was readily available on the surrounding streets. And, although we did not partake, there were numerous food trucks, wood fired organic made to order pizzas, and pastries of every sort, a veritable heaven of delectable treats! It was a great way to start our day of bumming around, doing whatever or going wherever we had an impulse to do/go next!
