Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great museum, location, lighthouse, beach. It is all good and well worth the drive up to Whitefish Point. Highly recommended.

While in the UP, it's worth the short drive up to Whitefish point. The lighthouse is at the same area as the Shipwreck museum. It's worth a photo stop as well as a quick walk out to the platform to view Lake Superior.

Unfortunately the coastguard station/ museum/ lighthouse was still closed but as I was there mainly for the birding that disappointed other family members more than me (It looks like ti would eb worth a visit when it is open). Birding was great (lucky with the timing to get a lot of birds migrating north. The two Audubon observers were very helpful and informative. Unfortunately Audubn have also closed the small gift store (permanently I understand) as this would have ben a good place to gather some information.
