What travellers are saying
- Rachael DRochester Hills, MI97 contributionsWe had a guided tour and it was great! Two hours tramping around the winter forest learning about trees, Michigan's logging history, habitats, and conservation. We had 3 naturalists from the DNR leading us. The walk ended with a bonfire and hot cider.Written 23 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JH F2 contributionsOur group of 6 from 4 years old to 69 years old had a great time. The hills were in perfect condition. The lift operators were enthusiastic and helpful. The line kept moving and never had a long wait between rides. Great winter activity for families.Written 21 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kelly BLexington, VA7 contributionsJust hiked the Mason Tract trail that is called Thayer Loop - about 7.2 miles I believe. It was absolutely stunning scenery and a lovely, well-marked and maintained trail. However, we were very surprised to find hunters alive the way. We passed three groups of men with rifles. I questioned them and they said “it’s public lands.” We were both wearing bright colors so we carried on and made sure to shout when we heard gunshots. Very unnerving however. I would have expected to see a sign at the trailhead warning of hunting season or something.Written 11 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cindy L4 contributionsThe farm was so relaxing to walk through. The lady at the front desk is super friendly and gives a great overview of the farm. Takes her time to tell you about the farm. Annie’s house is so cute. The loom house has many beautiful projects in progress and the woman in that shop was very happy to demonstrate how she weaves with the loom. This place is very educational and an easy walk. Out so. Uses crutches and had no problems with any of the road or buildings. Visit if you can!Written 10 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kim TOwosso, MI30 contributionsThis is a very nice place to visit, especially with your children. You are able to feed the fish, and even bring your own fishing pole to fish the blue gill pond.Written 13 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jd BRoscommon, MI8 contributionsGreat place to see a movie on vacation. Brings you back to your childhood experience at a authentic small town theater. And as a bonus, there are great places to eat just a block or two down the street. A fantastic place to spend an evening out on the town.Written 3 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John GGarrett, IN12 contributionsThis is an ungroomed ski trail just to the east of Grayling. The parking area is easy to miss and unmarked with the exception of a small street sign. The trail is flat and unremarkable until coming upon the wooden bridge over the Au Sable. The scenery at that point is worth the trip there. This is one of the prettiest rivers meandering through Michigan.Written 18 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 370dmacWalled Lake, MI25 contributionssecluded lake..deep in the forest..there are no homes or development here ,,,3 or 4 rustic camp sites ..great place to see and hear the Loons at dawn.Written 9 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - poukalaMacomb, MI1,027 contributionsWe have stopped here three times in the last year when we travel up north. This place is ALWAYS welcoming! Since COVID, we still could go inside, order, but this time we enjoyed the outdoor seating. There was no popcorn this time, but again, COVID... I highlight recommend!Written 15 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- SnodfortFrankfort, MI1 contributionI called the store last week and talked to Brian about what I wanted to do. Brain answered all my questions recommended a package and offered to have it shipped within two days. I decided to drive over so I could look over the selection and try on a few boots. Within an hour I was on my way with skis, boots, poles, and bindings all properly fitted and comfortable. My experience dealing with Brian and the staff at The Cross-Country Ski Shop was great.Written 19 December 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
