What travellers are saying
- Susan H1 contributionStaying at the horseshoe casino and the view of the shopping area is beautiful. The manicured trees are so cute! The grounds keepers must be very professionalWritten 11 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Janet LGulfport, FL118 contributionsVery much enjoyed the Margaritaville Resort & Casino Bossier City. Location was great. The food was great. The hotel staff was great. Left a piece of jewelry in the room by mistake, the security staff shipped it to my home at no additional charge. Jimmy would be pleased! Fins Up! Unfortunately, we were not able to earn Margarita Perks. We used One Key Travel App which was helpful for our 17-day trip to Route 66.Written 19 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Colleen HDallas, TX53 contributionsWe were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to check out Louisiana Downs. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. One, no admission. Two, it was air conditioned. There were 7 races and between 6-9 horses in each race which made it easy to identify the horses all the way around the track.
The betting window staff were helpful and friendly.Written 23 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tax $16.55... the tax seems high... not sure where that number comes from.Written 21 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jim LMcKinney, TX8 contributionsFantastic facility for a concert. We went to see Blake Shelton, and sound was terrific as well as seating. BUT, after the concert, getting out of the parking lot was atrocious! Took over 40 minutes to get out….the police just didn’t know what they were doing.Written 3 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cindy EGlencoe, MN262 contributionsThe visitor center was very informative with displays and helpful staff. Nice bathrooms. Nice overview walkway to the lake. We enjoyed walking on a .3 mile trail with singing birds and beautiful trees/greenery. A good stop to learn more about the river, animals, birds, snd area.Written 22 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SMS27 contributionsThe Bossier City Art Council is a must for anyone who loves to support local artists, walk freely thru the space with fresh coffee and talk to the staff about the building, their mission, the artists. We really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were so welcoming and the atmosphere was laid back and welcoming. Not snobby like at some of the art and museum places. So refreshing! Their mission is to showcase Louisian artists which is awesome and why we went there! We left with a painting and will be back on our next visit. Thanks to all for a wonderful experience!Written 28 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- pseudonymjaneShreveport, LA13 contributionsThis museum displays various Mardi Gras clothing, floats, etc for the Krewe of Gemini. The staff is really knowledgeable and friendly. One point of advise is to get in contact with the museum ahead of your visit as their hours are irregular. It's a good way to get close to the pageantry of Mardi Gras with no hassle.Written 30 April 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RKOsquareBaytown, TX49 contributionsMet up with a couple dozen guys from the Dallas metroplex for the 4th year in a row to play round-robin tennis tourney for three days, followed by a round of golf nearby. The clay courts are well maintained and saved the knees. The guest services are very attentive and ensure the courts are brushed, the ice water dispensers full and medical treatment available when needed. The manager was extremely nice, however, the local club tenants may not have appreciated us taking half the courts and hanging around for days. Overall great place to play!Written 6 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- fkendellSurprise, AZ432 contributionsI have been to very large open markets but this one had some of the friendliest and helpful vendors I have come across. Made a mistake to let the 3 YO grand daughter hold the donuts. Fruits and vegetables looked good and ready to eat. One vendor has Texas Diamond Watermelon, another had Orange Watermelon only in places like this do you see these types of fruits. Several home canned vegetables and sauces, some clothing and crafts too. Only Saturday mornings and well worth the visit, bring cash.Written 4 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - judybhornerShreveport, LA116 contributionswe do not go there to play as they do not have a poker room and that is what we play
they did have an excellent steakhouse, and we did go a couple of times, but are not going to drive 45 minutes just to eat out, there are closer places to get a nice steak.Written 31 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
