Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We never saw one that looked like this picture - they all looked like regular city buses. It sounds like Sun Trolley has been taken over by the city now. The good news is it is all FREE. There are several routes, but the two most important for tourists are the one that goes up and down AIA (40) and the one that goes to Las Olas and AIA (11). They come about every 35-45 minutes so if you miss it there is a wait, but you can just keep walking to the next stop in the meantime because the stops aren't that far apart. The best way to find the stops is to use google maps and choose the "bus" icon instead of car or walking....the apps and maps the city advertises weren't helpful.

    Here is my complete review:

    1. The Good

We took the ferry on a weds.
The ride from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini was super smooth! We got at check-in 2 hours before around 7:15am and boarded the boat around 8:30amish. It was actually fine! Very smooth and customer service was friendly. Bring just carry ons if you can for a much faster experience for customs and boarding. Once on the boat, personnel were friendly and it was an exact 2 hour ride to the island. Sea weather was good, boat was very stable. We were about 30 min behind schedule but wasn’t bad. Towards the end of the trip they let you book excursions like getting a golf cart etc. We stayed for 3 days at the Hilton to we rented a golf cart at the island. We recommend getting a golf card in back of Fisherman’s Village by Sue and Joys convenience store, reliable cart and the folks who sell it aren’t as aggressive as the guys when the team drops you off. Hilton hotel was great, food was better than we expected and was clean! We loved the beach club! As a heads up if they tell you it’s closed it’s still open, you can still go but there wouldn’t be towel service /many cabana cars open. However, the beach restaurant would be open at least in our experience. Overall if you asked me at this point I would recommend Balearia.

    2. The Bad
We left on a Friday night. It is a bit confusing about where to go to catch the ferry and when. The boat was aimed to leave at 8pm. Hilton said that a Tram would get you at 7pm from the lobby. I got anxious bc my directions said last call for boarding at 7. So we walked down with our Carry ons to fisherman’s village (takes like 10 min) to check in at the Baleria office at 6pm to be safe, some others were there. We checked in and waited there. That was true apparently, Tram did pick folks up at 7 from hotel and brought to fisherman’s village like they said, so I guess you don’t have to check in 2-3 hours early there. Then at 8pm when we were supposed to start getting picked up, tram guy said boat is not leaving at 8:55pm and we have to wait another hour. We all are just sitting around and 8:55 passes, we wait another 35 min to like 9:30pmish when we actually leave for the ferry. No explanation why it was late and it seemed like no hotel or Baleria staff knew where the boat even was. So now we are about a little over 1.5 hrs behind.

So here’s where things get ugly. The weather called for north windy conditions of like 30 mph which is the worst if you are going to ft lauderdale. This called for rough seas but not too rough where the boat is in danger bc of its size. As soon as we left 5 min later the boat started to rock back and force and bob up and down pretty intensely. I ride a lot of boats bc my bf fishes a lot so not scary for me, but bc you’re mostly indoors the sea sickness strikes bad. It was like this the entire ride back for 2 hours…and bc it’s dark outside with bright fluorescent lights in the boat, is a recipe for disaster. Bc it’s disorienting. Everyone was vomiting and sick including myself for these 2 hours… staff was trying their best to attend to everyone with sick bags. At the end of the trip there were vomit piles on the outside deck…even with my four doses of Dramaine within 25 24 hrs it couldn’t help for those two hours.

So tbh the experience really depends on ocean and weather conditions. Bc of this I won’t risk it again and will fly

We arrived into Port Everglades being the 4th or 5th ship to arrive there on the morning of 11/12. Needless to say the was bedlam at the Port with each ship discharging 2500 passengers at one. Miguel our driver with DreamRide was early, kept in constant contact with us, worked with us step by step bro get us to the van amongst the mobs of people, buses, Ubers, and cars. It made the very ending of our trip as pleasant as the cruise, a thank you to DreamRide and Miguel!

We used SAS for charter transport from our Fort Lauderdale hotel to the Miami cruise port and then back to the FLL airport after the cruise. I would highly recommend SAS and will definitely be using them again. Steve the owner was very communicative and on top of everything to make sure we were all set up. The drivers were friendly and extremely professional. Even with multiple stops for different t pick ups and drop offs the process was extremely smooth and time conscious. The vans were immaculate and the cost was extremely reasonable. They will definitely be my first try for future cruise transportation needs!

My friend and I needed a ride to Fort Lauderdale airport. The communication from this company was excellent, and our driver, David, picked us up in a spotless black Lincoln SUV. Will definitely use this service again!

We booked Infinity Transportation to transport our group of 14 from the Miami Airport Hotel to the Port of Miami on 3-13-22. They were extremely easy to book, had excellent communication, clean and like new large bus vehicle. Our driver Jeruld was professional and on time. We were send texts with his name, the license plate of the vehicle and kept informed of his approaching arrival. We scheduled for 9:30 am on a Sunday morning to get to the cruise port. If you have traveled to a port on embarkation day you know sometimes the transportation to get there can be difficult and untimely. That was not the case with Infinity Transportation. We would highly receommend them and would definitely use them again.

We have used this service several times, and each time our experience was top-notch. Their vehicles are newer, clean, and they always make sure we had enough room. The drivers are polite, punctual, and very professional. We have used them in both Fort Lauderdale and Miami and they’ve always been very accommodating. I would highly recommend this service for your business and vacation needs

We traveled to Fort Lauderdale recently to embark on a cruise. We contacted Howard prior to our trip for transportation from airport, hotel and cruiseport.

Arranging these services with Howard was easy and he promptly replied to our request. He was very professional and we highly recommend his services. He was early for every pick up. Everything was perfect. We will definitely use his services again.

The sites as you flowat up or down river are wonderful. People wave from the shore and are definitely envious. The captain points out sites and generally makes you feel like friends if not family.

Worst experience dealing with Greyhound. We travel a lot and this is the first time with Greyhound (and the last!). We bought a ticket for a service from Everette to Seattle. We turned up early to make sure we knew where etc, and was told the service has been canceled. No notification, no call and no assistance. Asked for a refund of the trip we purchased but apparently because we bought a low-cost fare (ie: not a flexi ticket [we actually didn't need the flexi-ticket]) there is a no refund policy! What!! How can you purchase a ticket, cancel a service and then not refund?!? The communication towards a refund has been a flat no, to bad!! Found FlixBus and Quick Shuttle fortunately who both provided excellent service.
