Rainbow River
#1 of 9 Nature & Parks in Dunnellon
We tubed the river, from the state park, but you can also kayak, boat, canoe or SUP! Beautiful and peaceful!
It is a beautiful park with walking trails, scenery, pavilions, and a spring that bubbles up a half million gallons of 72 degree water every day, all year long.
Rainbow Springs State Park
#2 of 9 Nature & Parks in Dunnellon
Waterfalls, butterfly walk areas, azaleas in bloom and the most beautiful view of the Rainbow River make this park outstanding.
This is a nature lovers area with many types of birds, Anhinga, Cormorants, Hawks, Egrets etc. Several times of the years there are craft fairs etc.
K.P. Hole County Park
#3 of 9 Nature & Parks in Dunnellon
This is a great park for kayaking or swimming in the Rainbow River, a crystal clear river formed by the Rainbow Springs.
We rented kayaks from Swampys, but launched here which requires a separate entrance fee. Park is beautiful with lockers, changing rooms, snack bar, etc. Busy during summer!
