Our hosts suggested their local state park, Roxborough State Park, a 10-minute drive from their home. The visitors center is a good 1st stop to check in and get any information. My brother and I were completely taken in by the massive rock formations, the variations of colors within these formations and the Fall dappled colored within the flora & fauna. We walked the trails beginning to end and thereafter found ourselves in a state of bliss. Our original idea was to go to the Garden of the Gods. We are thankful for the blessings found within Roxborough State Park.

This is a fun place to take younger kids for a visit. We went with our grandchildren (2 and 6) and they had so much fun exploring around and feeding the fish. It's not a large aquarium (it's inside a mall so don't expect ocean park style aquarium), it is also not the type of aquarium that has research or conservation programmes, so I'm unlikely to visit it on my own. I felt uncomfortable about how small the enclosures seemed for land animals compared to what I usually see in zoos around the world. All in all, I'd say the aquarium is a fun place for a family outing of a couple hours especially if you have younger kids.

Another gem in the Colorado State Park system. This is a large, beautiful park great for water sports, hiking, biking, and camping. Good signeage to guide you to the park. We camped for a week in our motorhome. Checkin was efficient. Interior roads are paved, wide and easy to navigate for any size rig. We were in site D188. We had full hookups. We had no issues with utilities and no problems getting level. Our site was full sun but other sites had mature trees for shade. Large sites with paved parking pad, crushed stone patio edged with timber, picnic table and fire pit. The grass around the patio is mowed, the rest is natural vegetation. Everything is well maintained. We had good WiFi and T-mobile signal. Laundry facilities for D loop were modern and clean. We particularly enjoyed the paved walking/biking trails throughout the park. We entered via the Plum Creek entrance (11500 N. Roxborough Park Road, Littleton, CO 80125) to avoid the low canopy at the Deer Creek entrance. Highly recommend this park.

Educational, enjoyable, and free. The museum building was full of interesting information about Littleton. The exterior displays were interesting and the blacksmith shop was wonderful. The animals were fun to see, and offered educational opportunities for me to share with my little girl. We really enjoyed it. The gazebo by the lake was also very nice

Jack-O-Lantern visit in October is a must see! Thousands of pumpkins are carved and decorated aligning a tour route that takes about 1-2 hours to go through. I visited both day and night to see the lights and colors. It can get pretty crowded. If you go during the day, it's free to get in. If there is an event happening, they block off that area so you cannot get in. The Jack-O-Lantern visit is $20 and well worth it.

Spent a few hours on a Sunday morning checking out the gardens and the corn maze. It was pretty crowded at 10:30 am, but we were able to get a parking spot and walk to the gardens fine. Tickets were $5 per person to tour the botanic gardens and the corn maze. Next weekend is scheduled the pumpkin picking festival. There are plenty of restrooms between the porta potties and indoor restrooms. The day we went there were food tents and food trucks with everything from hot dogs to kettle corn. All in all, a nice way to spend a Sunday.

We cam here with family for lunch and had a great time! This place is huge! We ordered a variety of sandwiches and salads, and everything was delicious. The beer was great as well! The service was quick and friendly, and the setting is lovely.

This is a huge park at 880 acres, with 5 lakes for fishing. After parking our car, we walked over to a kiosk that had a map of the park. In a slot was a 4-page information sheet (Spring, 2022, Newsletter) that had been a mailer. No park map, but pages 2 and 3 listed 30+ classes for kids and adults in the spring. Very diverse classes and a very impressive listing.

We walked north for about 45 minutes following the river. A couple of times we cut through to the river's edge. Heard red-winged blackbirds and saw swallows and mallards. There were tons of bikers.

We returned to the park the next day and walked south. This was a nicer/better walk, but not as much access to the river as the walk north.

This is one of our favorite places in the world to hike. We took our family Christmas photo there in front of one of the amazing rock formations. Lots of paths.

This is a great place to walk. There is a concrete path all the way around the lake. The somber but wonderful Columbine memorial is just off the walking trail.

The statue honors a local hero. It is located in a small park near Centennial Elementary School. It reminds people that visit the park that the freedoms we enjoy came at a cost.

The craft brewery was well set up to serve people via TO GO orders. They had a phone number to call and service was quick. Plenty of places to do the social distancing thing too.

Brilliant production of Shout! A mod musical. The show was flawless and the actresses had wonderful voices. We loved singing along to the music.

Our son is in the Little Dragons class at Exclusive Martial Arts and loves it! They are so patient, caring, and are so understanding if kids cry, run off the mat, and want to give up. They not only teach the kids fitness, discipline, and beginner martial arts skills, but they also teach them really important life skills such as knowing their address, phone numbers and parents first and last name. All the black belts create a supportive, fun and caring environment for these little kids and we love sending our kids there. The hours are so flexible and fit almost any schedule. We love EMA and Master Matt Young!

My 9 and 6 year old grandkids enjoyed this place - once they (and I) understood it. At first it was overwhelming for them, but finally an employee worked with them to explain and help them through the activities. Then they had a lot of fun on their own!
