Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I really enjoyed this little mystery interactive play. We were in the basement room and it does get really warm down there in the winter but the experience was wonderful. Super funny, great lead who's very interactive and the improv was spot on. There was some overacting but exactly what you expect at a cooky dinner theatre. I loved it and laughed the whole time.

Very pretty bar in Art Deco style. We were staying at the hotel so used our amenity fee to buy cocktails. We drank them in the lobby as the bar was very full so not socially distanced. Good service and good choice of cocktails

I visited for the first time recently from the UK with my sister. We stayed almost 2 weeks in the Cherry Creek area. We found it very convenient with a great mall and plenty of places to eat. Some stores are very expensive however and we did not find a great deal to do. I did find a great hair salon Mauve Salon & Spa which was really convenient with it's own parking.

A nice way to end our evening in this beautiful hotel. But some little things that were a bit off prevent me from giving 5 stars as I would expect in this type of atmosphere.
We found our own seats and a server came by to clear the table. They removed the bar snacks but didn't bring us some fresh ones. We had to ask.
A gentleman server was very knowledgeable and helpful to my husband in making a selection for a nice cigar. They had a good conversation about all kinds of things relating to the finer art of cigar smoking. I observed other servers appearing as knowledgeable.
But one thing I really didn't like was when a few coupled sat at the table next to us and the 2 women lit up cigarettes. At that point it became more like a smoking lounge or like being at a bowling alley rather than a fine cigar bar.
I've had other people who smoke cigars and who belong to cigar clubs tell me that that should not have happened. I truly don't know. What I do know is that cigarette smoke is not pleasant at all! There is a difference between a fine cigar being smoked and cigarettes. So at that point, I had to leave my husband to finish his cigar by himself and head up to our room for the night. That was disappointing.
While the furnishings are plush, I also noticed the smoke staining on the ceiling. I think a good spring cleaning could be in order.
A place like the Brown Palace Hotel should keep on top of little details such as these.

Ladies night to catch up! We went early at 7pm so we could just talk before the crowd came and noise level went up. Ladies night drinks start at 8pm with free well drinks. We sat at a high top and eventually took two as they only allow four chairs per table. You can stand around and be more than 4 people but you can only have four chairs.
It was so fun to listen to the dj and they also had a live band which was pretty good. They played a mix of original and cover songs. We enjoyed visiting and catching up. Parking lot behind is a larger lot than the one right in front of the building.
Tried the pizza for the first time on the recommendation of the guy working the floor. It was pretty good and at $3.50 a slice not a bad price. Had lots of fun as always. Bring cash as sometimes the credit card machine is finicky. They do have an ATM.

I've been living in Denver for over 20 years and never visited the comedy club until I got tickets at a silent auction fundraiser for an animal rescue. I got 4 tickets so broke them up to be used twice, the second time bringing friends, and then another friend randomly called and said she had tickets to see Fortune Feimster and could I come with her. I went from never having gone to having gone 3 times in 2 weeks. Then I won more tickets and took some friends, and then I won a party so got a big group together to go! I went to this club 5 times in 4 months and it was always stellar. However, it is also always a major ordeal. You must be there a little early, and you might want to have dinner before. As is common in comedy clubs, you are on the hook to buy at least two items (be warned, drinks from the upstairs bar don't count for this). Then I'm the type who always wants to go out later. By the time you're home you've spent a lot, lot, lot of time and money, which I would say is worth it, but again, a major event. As may be expected, the food may not be great, or maybe it's fine as long as you're expecting bar snacks. We've had the hummus which was tasty, and friends have had other fried things. The house wine was Blackbox when I was there, which is always good. As for the comedy, it's always great, and I think an under-appreciated form of entertainment at times. The bar across the street is where everyone goes not surprisingly, and it is very, very fun! Be aware, as you enter, your phone will be put in a little unopenable bag you keep and then is freed after the show. Not a problem, but don't plan on texting your babysitter during the show.

We had a great time on this tour. Rob, our tour guide, was fun and informative. He engaged the whole group in conversation and made it a fun experience for all. We loved all the food sampled. Will definitely be back to Denver soon and plan to book other tours offered through Delicious Denver Food Tours next time.

Love the atmosphere and "story" behind the Union Lodge #1, "An American Bar"
Looking at the menu, you can't help but want one of each. So, with the two of us ordering ad sharing...we just about did!
Drinks here are : Old Fashioned, 3 kinds of Mint Julip, and Absinthe Cocktail, to name a few, are definitely from the "Speakeasy" period. Friendly bartenders and patrons, a great place to hang out!

We were on vacation and had booked a private tour in the late afternoon, when we got there we told the guy at the door we were there for a tour, he stated that there weren't any tours scheduled for that afternoon, I showed him my confirmation e-mail for that time and date. Perplexed he asked if he could show my phone to the manager (I didn't really feel comfortable but passed it over). He went to the back and after a few minutes came back with my phone, letting us know the manager will be with us and have a seat at the bar. The manager came over to us and apologized that there was some sort of miscommunication between the scheduler and the tour guides, and they thought they were done for the day. He said a guide would be coming along shortly to give us the tour and in the mean time we could wait at the bar and have a round of drinks on the house. Drinks were great, so many options! And by the time we got through with the tour (we had several sips en route) I was feeling pretty happy. Would could have been potentially been a very frustrating let down was handled beautifully, didn't mind the extra wait time at all. Thank you for taking care of your customers. :)

Lucky Strike is a fun venue for a change of pace from the shopping, dining, people crush of the 16th Street Mall. We went during the afternoon, and the lighting was very dim - better to see the electronic score boards and better not to see the torn vinyl seating at the lane. There is food service available but we didn’t order anything. There are lots of other activities here - pool tables, a very large arcade space, and a sports bar kind of vibe in between. It seems a little bit run-down to look at it, but the bowling was good.

Visited Charlie Brown's for dinner. We normally like to sit outside, on the porch, but were informed that was the smoking area. What a waste. Ate at an inside table and listened to the piano and those singing along with the music. Very entertaining and the crowd around the piano seemed to be enjoying themselves. They have an extensive menu with all types of food offerings. We opted to go Greek tonight. I had a very tasty Gyro sandwich and my spouse had the Greek salad. The food was great and reasonably priced.

This place is so fun. Had a great time listening to the music and dancing. The atmosphere was fun and it was nice to have 2 bars on each side of the building so we didn't have to wait long for a drink.

My friend and I were looking for a place to listen to music and get a drink in downtown Denver and we stumbled on this place. What a gem! It is hard to choose the right words to describe this place but eclectic comes to mind. We ended up getting some food as well and it was wonderful! So fresh and full of flavor. This place cannot be missed! They do not accept credit cards so come with cash or a Venmo account.

We love Jazz and were looking for a nice venue. Our bartender at our hotel recommended Jazz At Jack's. It was an easy walk from our hotel to the Denver Pavillions.
Upon arrival, it was barely opening so we had a drink at the bar and chatted with the bartender. It's a large venue with lots of seating and typical bar food with wait service in the main music hall. Dark and intimate, just what jazz music should be. The opening act was a solo performance of a woman who was quite good - no cover charge. We then had an intermission and the new band was setting up - main band, $10/cover. There was a guy setting up cables, checking mics, etc. We assumed he was part of the band crew. WRONG! The band DOTSERO opened with a bang and he was the lead sax player/head of the band. We loved the music; absolutely loved the music. It was a great venue to spend a birthday weekend, and we couldn't have asked for a better show. Incredible!
