What travellers are saying
- Ryan O2 contributionsProbably the most beautiful hotel that I’ve ever seen. It is also absolutely huge. You don’t feel like your in California during the tour, you feel like you’re in Europe.Written 10 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dsalice2021San Diego, CA6 contributionsThis is our FAVORITE place to go! The first time we came we stayed in a cabin..the next time we stayed in a park rental..and we keep coming back, almost once every 3 months! So often that we started talking to the residents about living there!!!
It is SO peaceful, SO clean, SO relaxing and EVERYONE is SO nice! From the minute you drive up to the gate, you're greeted with a smile, to whenever you're walking around the camp grounds, to the boat house, to the market, everyone is so friendly and happy!
We always bring our motorized kayaks so my guy can fish and I can just bask in the sun...but this trip was not warm enough to work on my tan...but we still went out..and he still hooked some fish! We stayed in one of the park rentals as I prefer, heat/cable/wifi/kitchens etc...yes, glamping....all that was missing was room service, BUT there's the market that makes fresh hot meals and you have a grill and a fire pit!
We love Lake Hemet and the staff! If you have never been you're missing out!
-We did peak in to their newest park rental "Ridge View Lodge" and OH WOW..that thing looks amazing...def on my list to try-Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very informative guides, who are more than happy to answer questions. I’m not a plane spotter, but happily spent more than two hours here.Written 8 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lu D2 contributionsPaved incline trail with no shade but excellent view of the city and surrounding, and end of trail reward (see photo). Not recommended for summer.Written 16 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SeattleReebsSeattle, WA1,029 contributionsIf you find yourself in Riverside with a spare hour, it is worth a walk around this state park. Especially if you aren't used to seeing oranges grow on trees (I'm from Seattle, ok?). It is a well groomed park with pretty groves to walk through. There are picnic tables and bathrooms. The visitors center is only open weekends so we didn't get to see it. I didn't realize how many varieties of oranges there are. It is a delight for the senses-- sight and smell!Written 14 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jo WVacaville, CA231 contributionsBeautiful private home from yesteryear. Docents told us a lot of history of Riverside. It was fascinating. We went on a rainy day so we couldn’t look at the grounds, but it was still well worth it. Cute small gift shop with a variety of items.Written 8 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Creeping_Death_LALos Angeles, CA4,330 contributionsWe came to see the Beatles vs Rolling Stones tribute bands battle it out in concert. The venue is old world and has a classy nice ambiance. They offer bar service with beer and mixed drinks at premium prices. The sound was great and the concert was awesome we really enjoyed our evening here.Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LittleSis54Chicago, IL230 contributionsThis is an absolutely beautiful spot. We packed a lunch and set out to hike the Canyon Trail, which said 3.5 miles. You actually hike on a part of the Pacific Crest Trail. Moderate is pretty accurate, but if you have any fear of heights this may not be the trail for you. It's narrow in spots as you go up, and pretty challenging for those of us with arthritis. (Fit but creaky!) It was hard on my knees and feet, pretty rocky in many spots. A walking stick is highly recommended. My Fitbit showed us walking about 5 miles when we were done, and it took us about three hours (we went slow coming down). I would also not do this hike on a windy day. We ate our lunch in the Ranger Station, and made sure to leave a donation.Written 18 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I've always been a fan of his comedic works, so my partner and I decided to take a day trip to Riverside, CA to visit The Cheech museum. It was a great day, the museum has an eclectic collection. Also, they have a two for one agreement with Riverside Art Museum, which is in the next block, great visit!Written 8 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
