Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We rode the tram in January 2023. We pre-purchased the tickets through TripAdvisor for $30 ea. We could have saved $2.05 ea if we had waited to purchase the tickets at the tram ticket office as we are seniors (65+). The parking fee was $12. The walk up to the ticket office was a bit steep. The line wasn't too bad to buy the tickets. Since we had purchased the tickets ahead of time, we had to present a pdf of the voucher to the ticket office and then they had to find our reservation in a book. It would have been much quicker and simpler to purchase tickets when we arrived, although I don't know if we visited during a slow time of the year so it may be a gamble to wait. The tram runs every 15 minutes and holds about 80 people. We had to wait about 15 minutes after purchasing the tickets. Once on board, the trip up was amazing. If you want to take pictures, be sure to stand near the window. The tram rotates, so you will be able to get pictures from different perspectives. Once we arrived at the top, we bought lunch. Slim pickings in the cafe and very expensive ($10 for a boxed salad, $6.25 for a cup of hot chocolate). I would advise to bring your own food to eat if you are on a budget. It was 32 degrees and there was two feet of snow on the ground. The walkway down to the trails were paved and mostly clear of snow with railing to hang on to. The trails were covered with snow, so we didn't venture far as it was hard to tell where the trails were. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful. Well worth the price of admission.

I went on this tour with several coworkers. The Jeep picked us up at our hotel. Donna was our driver/guide and was very pleasant, knowledgeable and informative. She had bottled water and granola bars available…and even elastics for tying your hair back while riding in the back of the Jeep. You can ride with the top of the Jeep up or down. The weather was unusually cold (low 60’s) and cloudy on the day we went with a chance of rain, so there were blankets available to use and individually packaged disposable rain ponchos just in case. The open-air Jeeps are customized with 2 bench seats in the back parallel to the road facing each other and can accommodate up to 6 people. We were a group of 4 adults in our Jeep and had plenty of room. Being aware of the cool weather and that the back of a Jeep is windy, we all wore warm jackets and used hats and/or hoods especially while the Jeep was driving at normal speeds on the paved roads before going off-road. Sunglasses are also recommended. We made stops to get out and tour at an oasis, a Native American village, and a couple of slot canyons. Donna provided us with a lot of interesting information throughout. My favorite part was touring and hiking through the slot canyons. It was fascinating to learn about how they formed and notice all the differences in the rock formations; and they are fabulous for photo opps.

We toured Josha Tree on Xmas Eve Day. Our guide, Bob, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and the overall experience was just fantastic. We hit all the high lights in Joshua Tree. We were very happy with the amount of time we spent in the park -not too long or short. A vast park to see indeed. Overall experience was great!

Nothing like getting up close with the San Andreas fault! The off-roading was awesome, even for an experienced Canadian. If this is your first trip to the area, I highly recommend this tour!

If you are looking for a more slow paced and unique architecture tour of Palm Springs, Brennan was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. We learnt so much over the two or so hours and I have already recommended this tour to friends and family if they are in the area. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed our tour with Bill! Since it was January, we were in a van with some other great couples. We really enjoyed our tour of this interesting Park. Bill was great as a guide, and we did one easy hike through the box canyon. He had water and granola bars with him, which was great. Highly recommend!

This was such a great trip! Start to finish it was so much fun! I was worried that it was gong to be too campy or cheesy but it was entertaining and funny. Our guide was great! The mules were, well, mules. LOL!:) They picked at each other when we were at a standstill, but otherwise were a couple of hard-working boys (named Clancy and Chuck) that listened very well to their driver. The views and history were pretty amazing. And the dinner-time entertainment was SOOOO much fun! Music, dancing, singing, bonfire, it was pretty epic. The food and service was outstanding. All of this coming from a native Montanan who still lives on her grandmother's dairy farm should say a lot. I was highly impressed and would recommend this to anyone!

The wind was blowing really hard that day and our hummer was exchanged for an enclosed vehicle. The other couple decided not to go so my son, Russ and I had essentially a private tour with Jeff. Jeff had really good explanations for the faults and we touched on both the Pacific and North American Plates. I learned how to recognize the faults and how to spot them. We had a great time. Once we got off the freeway where there was some heavily blowing sand, the weather was pretty good although a bit cooler than I'd like. I picked this tour because my son is a 4 wheel guy and I wanted to see some of the back country around here especially the fault. (I am a recent transplant (18 months). I am planning on taking another tour or two with this company so I will have some good ideas about where to take my guests on my own or on a tour.

In Palm Springs for a sister birthday weekend, wanted to do a Joshua tree tour and accidentally booked this one. We had such a great time! Michael L. Was our tour guide and was so personable and knowledgeable about the canyons and flora and fauna. We had a wonderful time, would highly recommend.

Up close, you can hear the windmill blades whooshing. It’s not loud, you have to cup your ears, but a very cool addition to the windmill visit. I’ve been curious about the windmills for years. Who hasn’t? They greet you at the pass as you come into Palm Springs.
The tour was excellent, led by volunteer Bruce, who told the windmill story well, its history, development of the technology, the amount of electricity generated, the future of wind power — All told as we rumbled through on a 6-person “golf cart”.
He’s a good storyteller, had the facts and the drama of it all.
The tour was a highlight of the weekend, still talking about it. I recommend it to anyone who is curious about those enormous white windmills.
