If you desire to go shopping in Beverly Hills, you will land up in the Golden Triangle. Located between Santa Monica Boulevard, Canon Drive and Wilshire Boulevard is The Golden Triangle, a collection of seven smaller commercial streets that encompass the business district of Beverly Hills. The world-famous Rodeo Drive is part of the Golden Triangle. This district contains 25 top of the line boutiques One can find Cartier (watches) / Louis Vuitton (shoe store) / Gucci Beverly Hills (women’s clothing) / Tony Style Tuxedos (men clothing) & Tiffany & Co. (jewelry) among these shops. If you’re hungry, you can partake at 23 outstanding restaurants to satisfy your appetite. Il Fornaio, Mastro's Steakhouse and The Penthouse at Mastro's are just a few of these excellent eateries located within the shopping district. Numerous fitness Centers, Cafes and Bars are scattered throughout the area. This shopping district is at the top of the list for its lavish and opulent shops. Due to a limited budget, was unable to purchase any of the merchandise on display. Had a great time window shopping and watching others doing the same. If one is interested in Public Art, Beverly Hills, is the perfect spot for you. Located in Beverly Canon Gardens just in front of the Maybourne Beverly Hills Hotel, is the “Beverly Hills is Beautiful” sculpture by Mr. Brainwash. Nothing fancy, just a block of pink colored metal designed to represent cursive words that read “Beverly Hil is Beautiful.” This beautiful pink sculpture created in 2019 represents the essences of Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills is truly beautiful and well worth visiting.

It sure is an interesting and fun place to go for a stroll. Window shopping and people watching are the main attraction. If you do decide to shop be prepared for the price tag that will put a dent in your bank account.

Situated in Beverly Hills is the famous Beverly Gardens Park. The Park spans nearly two miles long along Santa Monica Boulevard from North Doheny Drive to Wilshire Boulevard. This green zone park is free and open to the public. As one explores this great park, you are dazzled with outstanding works of art by exceptional artists. A remarkable old Morton Fig Tree sit in front of the Beverly Gardens Park. One exceptionally outstanding feature of the park is the historical Beverly Hills Sign and Lily Pond located at North Cañon Drive and North Beverly Drive. The original was built in 1907, and it became a landmark of Beverly Hills. The Beverly Hills Sign and Lily Pond was across the street from the Beverly Hills Train Station. As travelers disembarked from the trains, the first thing they observed was the Beverly Hills Sign, welcoming them to the city. Over the years the Sign and Lily Pond was neglected, vandalized, and eventually the Pond was removed during the 1970s due to lack of funds to restore it to its former glory. The area was “grassed” over. The 40-foot-high Beverly Hill Sign remained in place and became a favorite photo spot for tourists visiting the city of Beverly Hills. In 2012 as the city was preparing for its 100th birthday, the city decided to revitalize the Beverly Hills Sign and Lily Pond. After a year of construction, the lily pond was unveiled in 2014 just in time for the City’s 100th birthday. The new lily pond features a pool that covers nearly the entire city block. The Pond was initially stocked with fish, frogs, and other aquatic life. However due to the ongoing drought in California, most of the wildlife has disappeared over the years. Today one can observe Lily pads and flowers in the pond. The damaged discolored Beverly Hills Sign was replaced with new letters painted white. The entire project revitalized the park and is a remarkable achievement for the city of Beverly Hills. Spent an hour viewing and taking photos of this outstanding Sign and Pond. Well worth the time.

Santa Barbara, Santa Paula, Santa Monica, San Diego, and many other cities all have claims of Morton Bay Fig Trees growing within their jurisdictions. Hundreds of pages of information are spread across the internet concerning these trees. However, Beverly Hills, California also has a Morton Bay Fig Tree growing within its city limits. If one tries to locate information pertaining to this tree, be advised that little information is available. Located in front of the Beverly Garden Park, one will find this magnificent gigantic Morton Bay Fig Tree. This tree was reportedly planted between 1910–1914 by the Rodeo Land and Water Company. This remarkable tall tree with a huge root system that spreads out over several meters is impressive. Its canape of leaves is a godsend for those seek shade from the relentless hot sun. It is amazing that this tree has managed to survive droughts, fires, earthquakes, pollution, and human intervention and reached the age of 100+. It branches are twisted, brittle with age but continues to produce figs every year. A remarkable feat. During my short visit, noted numerous visitors to the tree, some in awe, while other attempted to climb into the branches. I found the tree to be peaceful, sobering glimpse into the history of California. A remarkable site. Due to the ongoing drought in California, highly recommend paying a short visit to this amazing tree. It might be the last surviving tree in California.

As a kid growing up in the 1950-60s, I would watch the Saturday morning western television shows. John Wayne was my hero. During my recent trip to Beverly Hills, my travel guidebook advised that a sculpture to this iconic American cowboy is on display at Wilshire Boulevard & Hamilton Drive in downtown Beverly Hills. Had to pay a visit to my hero. This bronze statue by Harry Jackson initially stood in front of the Great Western Saving and Loan Bank building. It was a tribute from the bank to John Wayne who did television commercials for the bank (1977 until his death in 1979). Over the years the bank moved out, and other enterprises took over the building and ownership of the statue. This black 21 foot high, 6-ton sculpture of John Wayne is outstanding. The “Duke” is sitting in his saddle with his feet in the stirrups and his hands on the reins. His facial expression is the classic “Head um up, move am out” reminiscent from his cattle trail driving films. The base of the statue shows cattle stampede, with cowboys chasing the runaway cattle on one side, while the other side reflects cowboys paying their respects to a fall comrade killed in the stampede. A beautiful statue and it pays tribute to a great American hero and those trail hands who helped to shape the American west. Over the years, this sculpture and a similar one at John Wayne Airport, in Santa Anna, California has been the subject of numerous discussions regarding the future of both sculptures. The John Wayne Horseman sculpture in Beverly Hills has been involved in numerous discussions about relocating it to Newport Beach or Valley Center. Due to funding cost associated with relocating the statue, nothing has been done. John Wayne remains in Beverly Hills and most likely will remain there for foreseeable future. As the America population grows older, most youngster have no idea who John Wayne was or what he represented. If you grew up watching cowboys on TV, this is a must visit site in Beverly Hills. Recommend stopping by and paying a visit to the “Duke”.

Situated in Beverly Gardens Park at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Rodeo Drive is a 14-foot-high stainless-steel sculpture called “Takeaway” by Tom Friedman, an American sculptor. This sculpture portrays a man running while balancing a plethora of take-out containers on his head. Is this a nod to food delivery or does it represent something else? No one seems to know. One possibility is that the running man represents everyday life. Mankind in a hurry plagued with the everyday burdens of life staked on his head. The contains could represent different aspects of his existence, work, family, children, spouse, love, bills, etc. Each viewer must examine this sculpture and make his or her own decision on what it represents. Reality or an illusion. The craftmanship and beauty of this sculpture is amazing and mind boggling. This is a must view sculpture which will have you thinking about its purpose.

Beverly Hills is home to numerous sculptures which can be found throughout the city. Some are outstanding and easily recognized for what they are. Others are strange, weird, or downright bizarre. After viewing them, one has no sense of what you just viewed or what it is trying to portray. Situated in front of the Chase Bank located at the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Beverly Drive, viewers can admire the “Unconscious Sculpture” by Franz West. This 18-foot tall, unconventional aluminum sculpture with its two tangerine orange colored ribbon shaped bands that terminate into three seats is truly strange. According to the guidebooks, these three seats supposedly invite physical contact, conversation, socialization between viewers. Certainly, did not observe any interaction between viewers. Most pedestrians were in a hurry to get out of the relentless sun. Interesting but truly a weird sculpture.

I wish there were more stars I could give this company! They're absolutely the business in LA. I love love love my lashes and everyone says they look so natural. I'm a tv executive so I'm around a ton of talent and artists and it feels so good to be complimented on my lashes. All the his technicians are amazing. You will never be disappointed by their service. Always on point!
