Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Though we could not see any view due to the clouds settling in on the mountain top, we did hike to Signal Hill – 2,753 ft.
Go to the visitor center first to get your free map. They will mark off where to park at the cabins for easier hike to Signal Hill .4 mile. That trail was easily marked and clear of debris. We look forward to returning.

I gave 4 out of 5 because there are no outfitter options in the area: horse back riding, kayak rentals, fishing rentals, etc. it’s calm and laid back with a wonderful lodge.

We stopped to see the Eiffel Tower park & couldn't help noticing the beautiful building in the background as we took pictures of the fountain. So we took pictures of it & admired it too.

We got a review from Pridgin Family Brewery, praising the brewing and cooking abilities of the owner. When we pulled up, we were certain we took a wrong turn somewhere, as there were no signs in sight. We pulled up a gravel road and we’re met by a friendly staff, happy to have us here. We ordered a lovely beer flight while we decided on dining options. On the “It’s To Hot too Cook Deli Week” menu, I had the Smoked Turkey Sandwich ($16) and my lovely wife had the BAT (Bacon, Arugula, & Tomato sandwich, $14).

The single waiter ran all over the property, taking care of all the tables, while making small talk. The food was all farm to table, delicious and well worth the mysterious trip out. Thanks so much to the staff for making it a memorable experience!

Pretty Eiffel Tower fountain. Loved the little fence of locks left by lovers. Buy your own heart shaped lock across the street at the Cowgirls gift shop. They have sharpies there to write on them.

After getting warmed up on a hike on Mt Magazine, this was a nice, close and convenient opportunity to enjoy cool water and a swim. We were also able to fish on the shore and catch some. We were interested in canoeing, but opted for a more relaxed approach'. It was fun and refreshing to swim in the water, we didn’t like how dogs swimming was discouraged, as our dog also needed to cool off too. The facilities were a little run down, but didn’t bother me. It pairs nicely with Mt Magazine, just 15 minutes, halfway down the mountain on the way to Paris, however I wouldn’t recommend this being your only destination if you’re coming from far.

We love this winery but out of the last three times we've tried to visit them, they've been closed. We enjoy their cranberry wine and award-winning port, but will have to wait til we're again in the neighborhood. It is good so we keep coming back. I wish we could mail -order it!

This is a small site -- the museum is just one room. But I really recommend it. I stopped in because of a personal connection. My grandfather grew up in Paris, and used to tell stories about working in the coal mines as a teenager. My wife and I detoured through Paris on a recent road trip just to see the town and visit this site. I never dreamed that they would actually have so much information about individuals who worked in the mines. The curator who was there helped us find all kinds of information -- dates when my grandfather, great-grandfather, and great uncles worked in the mines, which mines they worked in, and even a newspaper clipping about. The even had an old photograph of the particular mine where my grandfather had worked. Although this seems like a modest site, they really have done a ton of research.

The museum, though small, is also really interesting. They have lots of things on display, like old carbide mining lamps and other things that show you what working in the mines was like.

Also, admission to the museum is free, though donations are welcome.

Fun experience. Kevin is a great guide! Beautiful country. Kevin is very knowledgeable. Kids age range 10 to 15. All had a great time without noticing they weren’t even on their phones! We will definitely do this again!
