Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

He's done a small part from Szczawnica (Grajcarek stream) to the Lesnica stream, and the rest of it was built by Academy of Learning from Krakow. Only the northern beginning is in Poland, the rest of it - the very most of it was built in, what was then Hungary, now it is Slovakia. But still - whole project was designed, paid and built with Polish money and labour, so I think it is important to give Polish name of this place: Droga Pienińska, as the name in the title of this TripAdvisr attraction is in Slovak. Road follows Dunajec river from Szczawnica to Czerwony Klasztor (Cerveny klastor), and can be used as a retourn trip after rafting on Dunajec, but only for those, who rafted with Slovakian entrepreneurs, as Polish rafting trail is much longer. Also it can be combined with much more tiring trip across Pieniny ridge, from Czerwony Klasztor to Leśnica (the village), and then down the stream to the starting point. Superb views of surrounding mountains with rock walls, but watched in own pace, with no rush of the speed of the river current, when you rafting. Only problem for us was overcrowding and mix of pedestrians and cyclists, which lead to some dangerouos situations, but luckily nothing has ever happened.Written 28 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were told that the next trip will start at 12:45, about 75 minutes waiting time which was ok for us. We planned to hike back and had a little drive back to our hotel and wanted to be backk home not "too late", so a start at 12:45 seemd just ok.
We paid (cash only) 15 € per person and started waiting - together with a family of five who paid just before us, so we were 7 persons waiting. When it was 12:45 and nobody was to be seen we went back to the cashier and asked. Since no onespoke good english or german it was hard to find out but they said "20 minutes" - okay, we waited another 20 minutes. After a little more than 20 minutes somebody appeared and said "5 minutes". It seemed we waited for another group of people...
Lastly we took of almost 45 minutes late - on board we were now 15 passengers (13 (not all thin) adults and 2 kids) and 2 staff. (The boat had written "12 ...." in Slovensk on board and I think it was only allowed for 12 passengers?!).
The trip itself was nice but the guide had only short pieces of information in German (none in English).
The hike back was beautiful but we had to hurry, because we started so late.
It is one thing to start late but the staff was not friendly when we asked for reasons and there was no chance to get our money back or any compensation like a free drink, a disocunt or a simple "sorry".
So we recommend doing a boat trip on this beautiful river but perhaps you should try another organisation.Written 1 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Instructor s English level varies and some speaks very little. At the end station there's a bike rent station. Took te bike for about 10 km ride in the riverside road, that ends in the starting point. Bike where in good condition and the ride isn't hard.Written 1 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
