What travellers are saying
- Vanda L15 contributionsIt is a contact zoo, with small and medium sized animals, that you can actually touch, pet and feed. It is very clean and you can spend a nice day with your family and kids in a whole new experience.Written 4 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- juanCaracas, Venezuela35 contributionsCould be in better condition, but as everything the Venezuelan government takes they ruin it, good place to visit, best views of Caracas and the sea (La Guaira). It cost $20 each to ride the cable That's the tourist rate. Locals pay a lot less so try to pass as local. Trip up to the top is spectacular so is worth the price. The top is a bit like a fair. Lots of food stalls & entertainment. Views very good but try to go on a nice day otherwise can be cloudy. Well worth doing
At the top you can go on a Toyota 4x4 to eat at several restaurants in converted houses in the town of Galipan it is expensive but the view, the ambiance and the place overcomes itWritten 10 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Jaroslav NečasBrno, Czech Republic916 contributionsSimon Bolívar is national hero in Venezuela therefore he is called as Liberator. House where he was born and raised became museum. Exhibition consists of many historical items and beautiful wall paintings. Entry is for free.Written 29 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Vanda L15 contributionsThis market has history and tradition. They sell all kinds of fresh veggies and fruits, as well as meat, fish, and dairy products. You can also find house utensils, everything you need, from a small needle, to a big butchers knife !!Written 4 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- vicentequinteroCaracas, Venezuela824 contributionsThe museum was recently restored. It looks way better now. The kids love it. I think it is a must destination when you have young kids.Written 17 December 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Charmy UVancouver, Canada7 contributionsWe were able to see the soldiers practicing, the statues, the areas where public ceremonies are held. We enjoyed the little lake with its turtles, big fish and Muscovy ducks and the playgrounds nearby. We noticed there were various recreational facilities for sports, both indoor and outdoor. There was a hotel and convention centre already and another under construction. The area had a pleasant feel with much to offer to guests of the hotel near the lake.Written 5 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lucy SDar es Salaam, Tanzania17 contributionsVisiting the Panteon Nacional really takes you back in time to reflect on the enormous effort made by special people who simply said no more of suppression from king they would not even meet ever in their lives. This army is the only army created to liberate and not invade.
Besides the paintings on the roof are extraordinary. Painted by Tito Salas. Made in huge canvases these have may not envy any European painter of that time. Spectacular! there is a guide that has been there all his life and this is very inspiring. Beautiful.Written 12 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ciel0a91Caracas, Venezuela26 contributionsThe oldest university in Venezuela is full of beautiful works of art both inside its buildings and in its free spaces. It is essential to visit the spectacular "Aula Magna" (theater) to admire its beautiful ceiling covered with the clouds of the artist Alexander Calder and the stained glass windows of the main Library of the artist Fernand Leger. I suggest visiting it on weekends in the morning in a group, due to the insecurity in the countryWritten 4 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- juanCaracas, Venezuela35 contributionsIt is no what it used to be, still we walk in the morning there when possible.Always go with someone or stay with the Groups of People on the main Roads Don’t go alone on the secondary roads. It can be dangerous. This is a big park in the east side of Caracas, although it is currently very neglected. It opens at 5 am in the morning, for those who want to exercise early, and closes early at 4:30 pm but ussually after 12m there is hardly anybody,so do not go in the afternoon alone. You can walk, run, do yoga, enjoy fresh air, There used to be a Zoo but I guess the animals died, but there are many Guacamayas flying all over in the morning it is worth to see.Written 10 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Eij1Canada285 contributionsLocated in the affluent neighborhood of Altamira, this place is a nice place to people watch. You can just sit down and watch the day go by while observing what the surroundings have to offer.
It's located adjacent to the metro and the tall monument is beautiful. I was there in December 2019 when it was lit up with the colors of the Venezuelan flag and it was beautiful to watch. There was a concomitant food expo event occurring.
Overall, a nice relaxing place to walk, sit down, kick a soccer ball around or my favorite activity: people watching!Written 4 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - vicentequinteroCaracas, Venezuela824 contributionsIt hold a large collection of art masterpieces. A lot of rooms are closed though. What a pity. They need to open more rooms. No permanent exhibitions here.
It has the potential to be one of the best museums in Latin America.Written 17 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Juan Carlos Fernández Alemán @GoJuancaPompano Beach, FL848 contributionsThis place is magnificent. Very closely located to los proceres boulevard. You can walk on this lake totally secured by the national guards. This is a very special place for fuerte tiuna's club. It has a lake that you can walk around with magnificent views. Then you can walk down to see the arc of independence from Spain. It has the remembrance of the battles won by our independence movement. This place is really fantastic and there is a running, cycling and skateboarding trail.
Very recommended to park inside el laguito totally secure.Written 11 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ErnestocarvalloCaracas, Venezuela21 contributionsNice place..nice restaurant...nice music...nice cinema box.....
