Spectacular scenery and one of the most scenic drives of my life. Glen Coe here we come
    1. Thumbs up : Well Scotland is all about nature at its untouched best. Glen Coe is exactly that. Beautiful valleys, towering cliffs, green (in summers ofcourse) mountains, lush grasslands.
    2. Thumbs down : Google maps again. The location leads you in middle of nowhere. We missed a couple of beautiful photo spots trying to find the exact location (Yeah we maybe dumb trying to find the exact place when we were already there, but the location should get us atleast somewhere) Google do you hear?
    3. Wow factor : You can hike, camp or just drive around. This place is stunning. Views will take your breath away. I so much wanted to just keep walking all around but we had places to go.
    4. Money Matters : Nada. (Unless you count gas costs😏)
    5. 5Point Review : Scotland at its pure best. Drive (and trekking and camping, if you have time for it) of a lifetime.
My ratings : You have to drive out to these places if you wanna see Scottich highlands. Worth it.

You don't have to climb it to enjoy Buachaille Etive Mor! There is a small parking lot off the single track road. It is a photographer's must-go spot in the area, so can be busy sometimes. My advice is to wear a midgie net and liberally apply Smidge, the wonder insect repellent, if you are there anytime except winter. It can also be muddy, so pack your wellies. Be careful if you venture onto the rocks in the stream because they can be slippery and the water can be fast-moving.

Visited today as staying nearby. It’s only small but worth visiting, a lovely walk round and informative boards tell you about the history of the quarry and the village.
Very pretty place, nice way to spend an hour. Make sure you walk round to the inclined plane on the main road.

Walked up in rain and down in sunshine. Beautiful views, gradient is not too bad as it zig zags up the side of the mountain.

We had a long day of driving from North Ayrshire to the Isle of Skye on that day and were looking for a hiking break - not long, not too difficult, with some beautiful views. Stopped in Ballachulish tourist visitor centre car park and took a Brecklet trail which took us about an hour. Great walk! You will have some panoramic views over the village to Loch Leven but also a view to the slate quarry which is as beautiful. The walk through the forest was also enjoyable with some moss-covered ruined buildings on the way. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

This was on my walk from the Ballachulish Hotel to the bridge. Glad there was information to explain the monument. There are many steps to climb.

Great little place with a very talented and friendly artist called Caroline. Superb glass sculptures and paintings of the local area. We purchased a picture of the Three Sisters of shorn or recently and some of her excellent glass work. Pop along and see her in action. Some great beach paintings of the islands too.

This Church is located in Ballachulish , beside the A82 on the left , towards fortwilliam , with grave yard grounds ,seemingly it's the only church in Scotland that was built with the smallest slates , from Ballachulish quarry .it faces onto loch Leven .
(It's my window view from lochside cottages onto st John's church & loch Leven ,one of the most beautiful views in Scotland .

Challenging 9 hole course, a must visit for anyone travelling through Glencoe. I was so glad that I stopped here for a round. The views are just breathtaking. Staff are friendly and there’s an honesty lounge and sun deck where you can enjoy a beer afterwards. I had a local lager (can’t remember the name) that was world class!

I went on a full day 1to1 with Dave. Since I had already done this a few years back with Karl I was not quite sure what to expect.
Dave took his time to work out what to do and where to go. He has a talent to explain things and also lets you work out stuff on your own. I had a great day again and really learned a lot not only about photography but also about wildlife and the area in general.
I think it will be worth coming back a third time one day.

The location, accommodation in luxury pods, personal service, food and attention to detail made my stay memorable. Laurence and Morag and all the family were so welcoming and went out their way to make us all feel very welcome.
Thanks so much to you all.
Pete is a fantastic artist and teacher, and love his style.
    Can’t wait to return.

The cycle path from North Connel to Ballaxhulish is now completely off the main road with a great new section at Duror through the Highland Titles Nature Reserve. It's a beautiful cycle - reasonably flat with some hillier sections, but worth it for the views. Highly recommended

We booked a paddle boarding session with Rugged Coast and really enjoyed it! This was our first time paddle boarding and our instructor, Kirsty, was amazing and made us feel at ease on the boards from the get-go. We started in a sheltered bay and quickly gained confidence. We then went out further in the lake around a little island. We saw seals, herons, and jellyfish. The backdrop was beautiful. Would highly recommend as a fun activity in the area (as a couple, group of friends, or family)!
