Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- JohnnyGCastlecomerCastlecomer, Ireland55 contributionsJust decided we would have a look around the area while we are down for the day. Spent a few hours visiting different places.Written 18 March 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- lupisgrey9 contributionsPlease be sensitive to the surroundings. We know you need to tidy up but let's not dessicate the wooded area.Written 22 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mystery ShopperIreland250 contributionsI had walked/driven past this about a million times before I finally stopped and actually had a proper look at it. It is amazing to see something like this still around in such a constantly growing town. It is nice to see it wasn't knocked and built over when the road was built along side it.Written 24 August 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LexiRCork, Ireland410 contributionsReally enjoyed our first visit to Piccolo over the Easter break. Gorgeous set-up. Nice for the grown-ups to be able to relax and have a good coffee / cake, while the kids are safe and having lots of fun. Our session was booked out, and I think the number of kids allowed per session is just right. Immaculately clean. Definitely best for younger kids. Up to 8 years old may enjoy it, but definitely best for 5 and under. Great location in the shopping centre, free parking outside the door.Written 15 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sam BTwyford, UK56 contributionsThis is a large soft play with lots of slides and climbing bits for young children. It was very very quiet when we came at 11am on a Friday in term time.
In common with lots of places we’ve visited in Ireland the food for children let it down.
There’s three options for kids, sausage and chips, pizza and chips and chicken nuggets and chips. The closest you get to any fruit or vegetable I the whole menu is the tomato stuff on the greasy pizzas.
Ireland will get itself a serious obesity problems this is how children eat over here.
There aren’t even any fruit juices for children.Written 1 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James J McEvoyCork, Ireland45 contributionsSam's bar is a very grubby bar it doesn't look clean or tidy.
The back bar is not for older people it's all Bum bum bum music and very loud.
The night we were there the main bar had a girl playing a guitar and she was good I was standing about 10 - 12 feet away from her and I found it hard to listen with the music and noise from the back bar which was not crowded.
I was very disappointed with the whole experience.Written 29 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
