What travellers are saying
- organicprofBaltimore, Maryland196 contributionsTake the A subway and get off at Puan. Walk a few blocks along Av. Rivadavia, turn right on Emilio Mitre, Walk four blocks to corner of Emilio Mitre and Av.Jose Bonifacio. You'll probably see folks already standing in line to catch this free tram. The ride is about 20 min., punctuated in the middle with a description (in Spanish) of these old trams, after which one of the motormen presents calendars, key chains, mugs, etc.for purchase to support these old trams. A calendar is 150 pesos. We love old trams/trains anyway and this was a good way to walk around a different neighborhood. Limited hours, only Sat. and Sun.Written 5 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- soniawasabiBuenos Aires, Argentina6,015 contributionsAs buses, trains, taxis and other ways of traveling around in Buenos AIres, the "Subte" (the short word for subterraneo that means "underground") is OK. Like in other big cities it is fast and easy, but you don't have the chance to look around. Anyway it is a good way to travel. You have to get the SUBE card in any underground station and charge a certain amount of money. It is not an unlimited-ride card. It is the only way to travel in subte and buses in Buenos Aires.Written 1 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ChinapjsWashington DC, DC3,785 contributionsEasiest, least expensive way to go to Montevideo from Buenos Aires. Lots of day trippers on the weekend. Interesting ride and you might see dolphins or even a whale during season. Can be very crowded. Worth looking into first class.Written 7 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ben FBloomington, IN1,137 contributionsWhile I would’ve appreciated amenities like Wifi, I can’t complain too much. Colonia Express got me to my destination safely, quickly, and affordably. The duration to/from Buenos Aires and Colonia is around an hour, and customer service agents are helpful and friendly. Lines may be long for immigration and disembarking, but it is nice that customs is handled (for Uruguay) on the Argentine side fairly hassle-free. Be sure to have all the requirements for life’s never-ending COVID circumstances in hand as you enter the ferry stations.
Thank you for the rides, Colonia Express!Written 10 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - anddurbChicago, IL8 contributionsAsk questions of police on duty and ticket agents, since the close to 100 gates and many bus lines can be confusing.Written 29 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ASU_DrKPhoenix, AZ357 contributionsI have used David Transfer Taxi in 2018, and again in 2022. On both occasions the service was flawless. David provides punctual, safe, and above all friendly service at a very reasonable price. He responds quickly on WhatsApp, and was able to accommodate a change to my pickup time without any issues. I highly recommend David and will not hesitate to use his service again on my next trip to Buenos Aires! Top-notch service. He has absolutely earned his #1 ranking on TripAdvisor. Gracias David!Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Konstantin1 contributionI have been searching for reliable and affordable transfer from BA international airport to San Telmo.
I am lucky that I found Fernando as he provided the best service for its price.
He met us at the airport with my name sign.
Since we had 4 big suitcases and a few handbags, I was afraid I will have problems with fitting to a car. Still all of these perfectly fit to his van.
As a final word - perfect.Written 13 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - MK330New York2,895 contributionsWe were promptly picked up from the airport...at 5AM!!! our luggage were securely stored in Fernando's home then he gave us a detailed and knowledgeable tour of BA. We were then dropped off at the cruise terminal per our request. Car was equipped with passenger seat belts and was clean. Highly recommended.Written 29 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ChelzWashington DC, DC25 contributionsHoward was an absolutely fantastic guide all over Buenos Aires! Not only did he have a route planned out with a ton of information and insight about Baires, but he also let us customize experience to make sure we got to go and see everything we wanted. He was very knowledgeable and exceedingly accommodating. Highly recommend this tour with Howard.Written 28 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Jigna D4 contributionsPatrick was wonderful guide...super informative...clear English.( For those who don't speak the local language).
Our family only had 2 days in the city, Patrick made sure
We had covered everything. We even got to see the Delta.
Even made sure we catch a Tango dinner dance.
I would highly recommend to hire Patrick.Written 27 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - lawrence pProvidence, RI85 contributionsPrompt, friendly and reliable. When traveling abroad, these are important qualities for any driver company. They use WhatsApp to communicate and confirm travel details, and pay attention to your flight to arrive early if necessary. Car is clean, air conditioned and drive is smooth, nit rushed or stressful. Will use then again and refer them to friends. They also provide city tours which I am sure will be as well reviewed.Written 19 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- be 4 +San Francisco, CA76 contributionsWe made an online reservation on 12/26 for the full day tour to Colonia Del Sacramento for 12/30 and rcvd a confirmation email with the tickets. The next day they emailed us asking us to change it to the next day on 12/31, to which we agreed to. Then the day before the trip they emailed us telling us they could not accommodate us until 1/4/2020. Completely unprofessional considering we are leaving the country on 1/1/2020. They did not call us even once to inform of us this mess and only emailed the next day. When I tried to call all the numbers listed, none of the work. I even tried to call the international number in the US and was put on hold for over 15 minutes and had to hang up since I was calling internationally. I was finally able to get a hold of a female attendant "Gemilia" at their 24 hour emergency number 54-11-5239-8209, only to be informed by her that she needs to talk to her manager about a refund. Are you kidding me? First they confirm out reservation, then they ask us to move to accommodate their poor scheduling, then they push out our reservation out beyond our stay here.
