We are a group of friends who love spending time in Belek.
This was a first time in this hotel.
I had a lovely experience in the restaurants due to the perfect organization there made by their super-professional Executive Sous Chef Aslan.
I have a severe food allergy and a tiny bit of the product could cause a huge drama. He understood that and took it very seriously and spoke to the team in the kitchen, so they can keep my food safe.
I can easily spot a person who loves his job and grows in his job with each guest’s experience
and Aslan is definitely that kind of a chef.
We could see he loves the hotel and spoke highly of the hotel and about each of his colleagues.
We are very thankful we met him and he mades our food experience lovely.
And safe for me!
Thank you, Aslan!!!
And although I must admit, it is a beautiful hotel, the other departments can be really worked upon.
FO had only two people who spoke real English. I went one time and I said I need you to call my friends room to tell them I am already downstairs
and they said yes sure and gave me a copy of my key card…
I tried to ask a few times for assistance from Guest Relations but they kept on telling me fo to the other desk, which was often empty…
All the rest used to speak Russian,
which is a bit frustrating, we are 9 people English speaking, but I guess they strive for Russian-speaking guests.
Also, housekeeping manager was very unfriendly and every time I try to type something in Google translate in Turkish, such as “can I have 10 hangers, please”,
she would deny to read it
and send me to call FO, although she is already there in the next room…
Money wise: keep in mind, that the specialty restaurants are at additional cost here - this is a but different from other hotels in Belek, so make sure you are aware of this in advance. We were not told by our agency in advance.
Night club is until 1,30am,
so don’t expect much of a party crowd.
As a former events manager, I can say they do poorly sales and events and they keep empty pools just to keep the super high price - €400 per a pool cabana.
All of them were 80% empty on a daily basis.
All of these can be monetized better and the hotel could look more lively at all spaces. Instead they brought a lot of pretty faces who just speak Russian to guests and achieve not much in terms of communication,
except Olga!
We met Olga during the last days and she really helped us and was willing to help, unlike the rest,
which matters the most.
I think they need to multiply Olga and Aslan to make this hotel better.
Or at least people who speak English, and are happy to talk to customers.
And consider bringing a sales person who can monetize the empty ventures. Empty spaces are not good view.
