What travellers are saying
- UkBritAbroadUk272 contributionsGerald, our guide, seemed to know where the big five were going to be. Incredible trip. Saw the big 5 but many more animals and birds. Gerald also was a mine of information about the flora and fauna in the park. Superb.Written 6 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - trippyyippyNew York City, NY36 contributionsWe had a tremendous guide from Langa-Langa Safaris who was contracted by our travel agent company Wild Kruger to guide us on a full day tour of Blyde Canyon and its many sights. We had Jeanette who arrived at our hotel promptly at 9am and took us away for the day. It was cloudy, and rainy and the road north from Hazyview was fogged in in many places. Jeanette knew her way around and was a skilled and careful driver. Besides the fog, there are people walking in and alongside the road, as well as various animals in the road such as goats, buffalo, and cows. She dealt with all of it and we felt safe driving with her.
We went to Blyde Canyon, the 3 Rondavels, Bourke's Potholes, Lisbon Falls and Berlin Falls. We skipped God's Window on the way due to fog and expecting to stop there on the way back. But, rain had increased and the entire valley was fogged in by the time we were returning. We had seen some spectacular scenery by that point and were ok with letting God's Window go. We stopped back in Glasskopf for a late lunch at Harry's Pancake's and had a simple meal that really hit the spot. Jeanette accompanied us at lunch and it was a pleasure getting to know her a little better.
Jeanette was very knowledgeable about the whole area, pointed out many things that were historical, geological and mundane, patiently answered our many questions, took the time to visit the small museum at Bourke's, and allowed us time to shop in Glasskopf next to the restaurant at a Belgian chocolate shop. In the morning on the way, she also found a place for us to get some take-away coffee. She was very reasonable with any request.
Jeanette is an experienced Guide and we highly recommend her. The Blyde Canyon Panorama Tour was fabulous. These are some unforgettable sights and they are so close to Kruger! You shouldn't miss it.Written 25 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was fortunate enough to be selected as one of the artists to exhibit their work in the collective exhibition.
Located in the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre in White River, the White River Gallery is a stylishly rustic building surrounded by a variety of shops and restaurants. The open floorplan provides a spacious location for visitors to enjoy the artwork on display at their own leisure. The knowledgeable gallery staff are exceptionally welcoming and curteous, and the relaxing atmosphere provides for a leisurely stroll among the beautiful creations by a wide variety of artists.
I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the Lowveld area.Written 8 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy M3 contributionsThe trails are well built, lots of fun, awesome flow lines through beautiful forests. I found some quite challenging but managed everything. The bit of climbing pays off well.

African Photographic Rental Services was recommended by my lodge (Makanyi- highly recommend) as well as reviews I saw on Trip Advisor. I rented a Nikon 80-400 lens to go with my Nikon D750. It was a much better lens that what i owned and was very reasonable priced for the 5 days I needed it. Being able to bring just my camera body was such a huge help on a trip where we were very limited with our luggage and weight. This meant I didn't have to carry a separate camera bag. My camera body went in my carry on easily. They delivered to my hotel in Johannesburg, the day before my safaris began, and I dropped off at the airport as I left the Kruger area. Communication was very easy. I had my iphone 14pro and a sony rx100vii for the rest of my bucket list trip. Now to sort thru my 2500 pics taken on safari!! (5000 total!) LOL. Thank you. Highly recommend taking advantage of this service. Photos shared are straight out of the camera. No editing.Written 26 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
