    Thomas was an amazing guide!!

On the first day we went to hongcun village. No need to go to xidi, hongcun was enough.

Hongcun is a maze!! Without Thomas it would be very hard to navigate. Thomas was very knowledgeable about the village and ancient customs. He also explained the meaning behind the words written on the plaque. He answered all our historical questions and more.

He also brought us to a delicious dining place to eat dinner at. The dumplings and noodles were great!

On the 2nd day we went to Huangshan mountain. We went to a local breakfast palace to eat that wasn't expensive. Very local and the food was amazing. He also gave us spiked shoes to wear as the mountain had ice and was slippery. If we had gone ourselves we would never have made it far into the mountain given that we didn't know you need spiked shoes.

The tour was amazing and I wished I could have spend more time in huangshan.

The car he took us was spacious we were travelling with 6 people.

Best tour I been to in my life. I will come back to huangshan and tour with Thomas again. Highly recommend everyone book Thomas!!

My friend and I booked this tour to add to the end of a week-long visit to Shanghai. We were looking to complement our busy city trip with some nature and culture in the beautiful Huangshan.

Our tour guide was Mr. Jack. He was professional, kind, and spoke very good English – but above all, he was extremely positive throughout the 3-day tour and passionate to share his immense knowledge about the area. He led our visit to Tunxi Village, Hongcun Village, and the Yellow Mountain very well. My friend and I felt very comfortable with the pace of the tour, and we really liked how Mr. Jack frequently checked in on us to make any necessary changes to our schedule and itinerary in oder to suit our preferences.

Mr. Jack picked us up from the train station and introduced us to our driver, Mr. Hu, who drove us to each location safely. Our first stop was a local restaurant on Tunxi Ancient Street called Mei Shi Ren Jia. We were positively overwhelmed with the choice and variety of food available, so Mr. Jack chose several dishes for us. The food was absolutely delicious and we ate calmly without rush. Before driving to Hongcun Village, Mr. Jack walked us through the old but well-perserved ancient street of Tunxi. The highlight of this day was the visit to Hu Kaiwen Ink Factory, where we learned how traditional Chinese ink sticks are made.

Hongcun Village was really beautiful and Mr. Jack took some wonderful photos of us and the scenery which he later shared with us. This village was very interesting to explore and I would have liked to stay overnight here if we hadn’t already arranged our accommodation in the countryside. We slept at the Pig’s Inn Boutique Hotel. Absolutely beautiful location and a very unique experience. Mr. Jack arranged a short but wonderful morning bike ride around the countryside before our drive to the Yellow Mountain.

The hike around the Yellow Mountain was spectacular. The paths are paved and consist mostly of steps, but there are lots of places to rest and enjoy the view, so it is challenging but comfortable even for people with less hiking experience. We were fortunate to have good weather to enjoy the beautiful scenery and take fantastic photos, but it rained heavily during our sunrise hike on our last day. The hotel we stayed at overnight was big and very clean, and the room was equipped with a heated drying rack for our wet clothes.

Mr. Jack stayed with us until the very end of our trip. He and Mr. Hu dropped us off at Huangshan train station and did not leave until we passed the security check. This trip was very nice and memorable because of the beauty of Huangshan but also because of Mr. Jack’s care and passion as a guide.

I strongly recommend this tour. Thank you!

This tour was excellent. From the time I arrived on the train to the time I departed, I was in the hands of a pro, my tour guide Christina. Our first stop was Hongcun Village, a picturesque ancient town with a lot of local culture to learn about and experience. Christina helped me sample some of the local food, communicating to the locals about my food allergy. In the evening, I stayed near Tunxi Old Street which was a pleasant place to walk, shop, and have dinner. Days two and three were spent on Yellow Mountain. We had terrible weather! Fog covered the mountain the whole time. Bad luck. If I was rating the mountain it would get less stars ;). My guide kept things pleasant and cheerful, and took pictures for me. She was knowledgeable about the mountain and local culture so at least listening to her was interesting. When I decided to leave the mountain a little early, she was very accommodating and helpful with the trains. If you try it, good luck with the weather, and maybe plan a little flexibility in your schedule and check the weather reports!

My friend and I had a wonderful time, from the moment we arrived till we reluctantly left. Our tour guide, April, was awesome. We enjoyed everything, especially the local food, we had a great meal every day. I will do the Huangshan tour again in different seasons. This was not the first time I had a tour by Travel China Guide. TCG has always been my choice. Thanks, Amy Jian, for the Huangshan arrangement.

On 9/9/22 gas was $3.99 gal at Circle K, 699 E. Buckeye Rd, PHOENIX, AZ, US, 85004. Located on the corner of E. Buckeye Rd and S. 7th St, Circle K is 1.8 miles from the Sky Harbor Rental Car return. After gassing up, proceed east on Buckeye Rd, once you cross over 16th St, driveway entrance will be on your right-hand side. There is a Shell station closer to the Rental Car Return, but it was $4.99gal, that makes the Circle K a little busy, but you can also grab snacks, ready made sandwiches, etc to take in your hand luggage. Bon Voyage!

Was trying to find an English speaking guide for my tour of the mountains and almost none of the tours on here had any ratings. So I guess I took one for the team, but was very happy with the experience!

Having a a guide was certainly useful as many interconnected paths you can choose from and I may have got lost without, or missed out on some key historic pine trees / mountain peaks.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and was keen to help plan the trip to our needs. For those of you who want to copy what I did which made for a great full 1 day trip to the mountains for average fitness person then this is what we did:

    1. Cable car up to White Goose Ridge.
    2. Head to Beginning to Believe Peak
    3. Dawn Pavilion
    4. Monkey Watching Over Sea
    5. Cloud dispelling pavillion
    6. Bright Top
    7. Turtle Peak / Lotus Peak
    8. Take the Yuping Cable Car and the bus back to the starting point.

As you can see from our photos weather was not on our side but this was the only day we could go, but was still a fun hike and many beautiful views. Guide provided us with weatherproof shoe covers and poncho to protect from the rain. Great time and recommend to other folk if you are considering it!

I was timely received and kindly serviced during my visit to Huangshan mountains; I also effectively bought some train tickets through ChinaTour.Net So my conclusion is their service is completely worthy.

Our group of 11 had spent 3 days exploring Wuyishan on our own prior to Huangshan and were glad to have a guide for this leg of our trip as it saves us time and energy.
It was pleasant coordinating with Nick on this trip. He was prompt and clear in answering all our queries. He was also accommodating to changes we requested.
Juston, our guide was punctual, helpful and very experienced. His proposed timing was good as we managed to avoid the day-trip crowd and queues. He even managed to get us a free upgrade to the newer wing of the hotel in the summit.
Huangshan and Hongcun were memorable for their picture perfect scenary and culture. Highly recommend a visit.
