Perfect for long walks. Not too much to do on the way / beach. More south, lesser building, more nature / birds.

Amazing hike but it's actually very hard....some parts I felt like I needed a rope...I went up without but saw people going up with a rope. Anyways, the views are amazing but the hike is something very hard...I mean I was kinda dying the next day.

This is a lovely beach to visit if it isn't crowded. I found it to be less of a headache than Copacabana and less busy than Ipanema. It is one of the areas you should check out and explore when you first arrive in Rio so it stands out a bit in your memory.

Beauty. It is an unmissable visit for all visitors. It comes easily. There are no lines to enter and they do not charge entrance. For lovers of architecture and art it is an incredible place.

We had to make 2 trips from Rio to accomplish this hike. The first time we left from Rio at 8:30 am, and by the time we arrived, there was no parking, thus we turned around and drove back to the hotel. The next day we left Rio by 6:45 am and had lots of parking options. We did the hike in about an hour and had no line for pictures at the top. By the time our group of 4 had taken a dozen pictures, there was an hour+ line waiting for their turn to take pictures. A few tips: (1) Google maps will mostly get you there, but from the main road, there will be a steep road that curves up and to the left…this is the road you take, and after a few blocks, you will start to find houses and small lots that offer parking. (2) near the top, we found a couple groups that couldn’t find the rock. Once at the “top”, you have to go a couple hundred yards down the other side (towards the ocean) before you find the rock you are looking for. Using Google maps (and our gps location) helped us find the rock when others got lost.

Don´t go very late during the weekends and holidays! The water is so blue but sometimes the waves are big!

You book this on their website. Tours are 9:30 and 13:30. We had an English speaking guide and shared him with some Dutch people. We took an Uber there and found our own way back using the local bus which connected to the BRT Metro bus. Surprisingly straightforward. Gardens and the house are spectacular and the tour was very well organised.Took about 1:5 hours. Cheap as well 10 reals entry, or half price if over 60! Don't miss it if you are in Rio area.

This is a very open shopping mall. Most probably the one with the best shops and also good restaurants.

My first time there and we were just amazed by the vibrant and colorful Rio de Janeiro. That was what I was looking for as local experience. But be close to the group who is playing because of the crowds and noise you almost can’t not listen it perfectly. We went there around 11 pm and it was still going on. The band played till 1 am and after the party goes through the streets and bars!

I went to three days of this festival and really enjoyed it. Lots to do, safe environment.
Only problem was first day in receiving the wrist bands, note for other people who would be going multiple days take tickets to pick up all wristbands in the same day.

Amazing collection of warbirds and early aircraft through to helicopters etc . You can get very close to everything and they are all displayed in authentic hangar space.
You can hear the military practice shooting behind you and see a parachute regiment being deployed for real out of Hercules if you are lucky ( see pic) . There’s a restoration workshop you can peek into . Bring food and drink tho as I couldn’t see any kind of cafe open.

We had good time in this museum. You can see some movies over Brazil team during the history and see all the trophies won. We had a very caring tour guide who spoke English. Definitely worth for football fans
