The Imperial Palace is nearby as well as other historical buildings and churches.
It also leads you to the ferry terminal which is a short walk away.
The Portuguese royal family once resided in the vicinity. Air conditioned and secure. Flea market is excellent on Sundays. Could do with a restuarant or bar. some of the premises are closed or shut down.
