It was informative, fun and Keioko was a beautiful gracious host!! Food was delicious - prepared, cooked and eaten by us!! Would give 10 stars if I could!!

Perfect experience, had so much fun, great time, loved the food - in one word - awesome!! Loved it all!!
The cooking class was held at Taro's house and we spent a lovely couple of hours learning about Japanese food culture, making dashi, omelettes, ad other small dishes, and of course tasting the amazing Kobe beef.
We tried some fabulous food and drink and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed.
Yuma took us on a great tour through central Kyoto, where we tasted a remarkable array of dishes and gained a great insight into Kyoto food and its culture.
Jason was a wealth of knowledge, both with food, Japanese culture and customs - so much that his advice and the education he provided really helped guide us in our travels in Kyoto and Tokyo.
Thanks to Jason, we learned a ton about Japanese food and the culture and history connected to the food.
The food is yummy!! Highly recommended!!

The venue was gorgeous, the process easy and thoroughly explained, the food was delicious and the grand finale of eating the fruits of our labour very gratifying.

It was great to find a place where you could learn to make the tea yourself, rather than just have someone prepare it for you to drink.

You need to book ahead to enjoy the guided tour and it is well worth the mere 1000 yen price for the tasting alone! 3 whiskeys to taste, snacks to have while you drink and a full-sized measure of Yamazaki to enjoy...
Make sure you eat a snack beforehand since there isn't food available at the whiskey tasting area.
He also gave food to pair with the sake and explain which food is the best for sake.

The tour guide took me to bar and restaurants, there we were served much food and drink that are worth the price.
Nishimura took us to a restaurant, where we were served with local food and local tasty sake, and honestly, that was the most relieving drink I have ever tasted, I nicknamed it Japanese sake.

Her English was excellent and we had lovely conversation about her passion for food and cooking and some of her great recommendations for touring around Kyoto.
She picked us up at the nearby train station, drove us to her home, and provided a fun-filled afternoon of tea, cooking, delicious food, saki and lovely conversation.

We quickly recognized our host had a deep passion for the Japanese traditionel cuisine, an excellent english and a broad knowledge of food in genereal.

I myself am a meat eater but chose to go in with the vegan/kosher food.
This was great fun and makes for a fun video to look at and share with friends Rita and I enjoyed this class a lot the food was great the chief and his staff we informative and fun.

It was sooooo much fan to walk and drink with Seigo.
The area is amazing, the local people are very friendly and open and the food (and sake!) is super delicious.
We very much enjoyed our conversation, which, thanks to Haruko's excellent proficiency in English, ranged from questions about food, ingredients, eating customs, to daily life in Japan.
She goes above and beyond to teach you how to cook Japanese food that you could easily recreate back at home!
