Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The view was spectacular. Wear winter clothes as temperatures are about 37 degrees Fahrenheit all year long. The wind is brutal. Better be over protected than cold. At Finca El Oasis we had breakfast one the way down. I do not recommend hiking up as it takes 6 hours.

This was an amazing experience! The absolute best waterfall hike I've ever done. Our tour guide Luis was amazing and knew every plant and creature in the forest. Extremely patient, safe and knowledgeable

We had an amazing experience- we took the honey tasting tour and in the butterfly house. Our guides were super- well informed and friendly. We did not take the longer tour but plan on doing so our next visit!

It was a beautiful experience with all those pretty animals. I highly recommend it as a unique experience here in Chiriquí. It was great.

A well-marked hike you can easily do by yourself near Boquete. It follows a trail that ends up at a beautiful waterfall. On the way you can see a 1000 year old tree and some monkeys if you are lucky.
The entry is 5$ per person, which you have to pay at the house on the left side of the entry. Make sure to organise a cab to pick you up after the trail as there is no mobile network and few vehicules passing there. You can also opt for a collectivo bus that costs 2.50$ (per person) back to Boquete but there are no real timetables to rely on.
You can expect to hike for 2 to 2:30 hours.

This is a farm upon which is grown some marvelous medicinal plants from which salubrious tinctures are made. The hostess, Elizabeth, is great and a font of info. many of the recipes are handed down from the original indigenous tribal Indians. Enjoy some breathtaking views from the Jarmillo side of Boquete.

Excellent beers brewed onsite. The outside beer garden was wonderful and staff was exceptional. Walking distance from anywhere in town

We had a great couple of hours here. The plants and flowers were beautiful, saw so many birds. The children (10 &7) were kept amused by all the quirky models, statues, freaky faces. The thing they loved most though, was on the second trail, where there is some children's play equipment, including swings with really long ropes. We couldn't drag them off. Add to that some very friendly dogs who walked round some of the route with us, and it was good for all of us. The admission fee wasn't as advertised though, as it said $5 for adults and $3 for under 10s but the children were charged full price. We couldn't be bothered to argue for that amount so just paid up.

A young pianist prodigy, 14 year-old David Garcia, captured the hearts and astonished the minds of those who attended his amazing recital at the Biblioteca de Boquete in June 2022. His performance demonstrated his proficiency in interpreting a variety of musical works from around the world - including classics from Shubert, Chopin, and Prokofiev - and also those from composers highlighting Panama, Argentina, and Spain. An amazing and enriching experience!

On Tuesdays at the BCP, this market is geared toward the growing expat community in Boquete. Sells lots of fresh produce (papayas, kale, carrots) and cooked / baked goods also ( cornmeal cakes, breads, chocolates, goat cheese). Sells used books in English and local artesan crafts (woven cloths, keychains, clothing). Priced more than a market for locals. A social gathering place for the gringos. Worth checking out briefly if you are in town in Tuesday. Pick up a snack here and possibly a souvenir.

This is an easy, relatively short hike with views of agricultural fields as well as cloud forest. Beautiful flowers along the way also. The waterfall at hike's end is spectacular. We very much enjoyed this experience.

To quote our 8 yer old “OMG that was amazing!” — a few hours earlier she had been terrified by the idea of riding horses. Our whole family of four (girls 8 and 10) had an unforgettable afternoon. The connection between Franklin and the horses was magical and put everyone at ease. We took a tranquil 2 hour loop through farmland and the girls both had a chance to try galloping. Highly recommended!

The Ngabe-Bugle gentleman who gave our tour was excellent. He was knowledgeable in the Ruiz Coffee Company, coffee in general, and also knew a few different languages. He told a lot of jokes along the way to keep us interested, and while I could tell he had rehearsed those jokes many times, they were still funny. It was just my wife and I on the tour, but he still took his time to show us everything. Even though it was raining, we went into the plantation and got to look at the coffee plants and other plants and the drying beds, and take a look, take photos, etc. It was very empty due to the rain, so no crowd at all - and still enjoyable. At the end, we had the tasting, which was actually the least interesting part, because there were just 3 different samples. The best part was his in-depth knowledge of the coffee business, the history of Ruiz and Geisha coffee in Panama, and showing us examples of different ways of making the coffee, etc.

Would you like a great tour with a friendly guide? If so, then book with Arturo. 5 stars are not enough.
