Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Anita I1 contributionWe had an amazing experience- we took the honey tasting tour and in the butterfly house. Our guides were super- well informed and friendly. We did not take the longer tour but plan on doing so our next visit!Written 10 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michelle_xp2 contributionsIt was a beautiful experience with all those pretty animals. I highly recommend it as a unique experience here in Chiriquí. It was great.

On the way you can see a 1000 year old tree and some monkeys if you are lucky.
The entry is 5$ per person, which you have to pay at the house on the left side of the entry. Make sure to organise a cab to pick you up after the trail as there is no mobile network and few vehicules passing there. You can also opt for a collectivo bus that costs 2.50$ (per person) back to Boquete but there are no real timetables to rely on.
You can expect to hike for 2 to 2:30 hours.Written 20 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The surroundings are spectacular, what an experience to be in that environment amidst the working coffee farm. The room was simple and very comfortable. The rooms are not large, yet with 4 people in our room we never wanted for space. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated that they cleaned and remade the beds during our stay --We were not expecting that. The hot water was plentiful (they will let you know to run it a few minutes allowing for the water to get hot).
The entire place is so inviting and its an opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy the surrounding beauty. We went on wonderful hikes on the property and the bird sightings are plentiful. We took the coffee tour, led by Gabriel, and it was great. He was very informative and the cofe is excellent! The food was delicious and we really appreciated our waiter, Teddy/Rosevelt's friendly conversation.Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The children (10 &7) were kept amused by all the quirky models, statues, freaky faces. The thing they loved most though, was on the second trail, where there is some children's play equipment, including swings with really long ropes. We couldn't drag them off. Add to that some very friendly dogs who walked round some of the route with us, and it was good for all of us. The admission fee wasn't as advertised though, as it said $5 for adults and $3 for under 10s but the children were charged full price. We couldn't be bothered to argue for that amount so just paid up.Written 11 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ArbitusPanama City, Panama22 contributionsA young pianist prodigy, 14 year-old David Garcia, captured the hearts and astonished the minds of those who attended his amazing recital at the Biblioteca de Boquete in June 2022. His performance demonstrated his proficiency in interpreting a variety of musical works from around the world - including classics from Shubert, Chopin, and Prokofiev - and also those from composers highlighting Panama, Argentina, and Spain. An amazing and enriching experience!Written 26 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Terry Lou BMedicine Hat, Canada65 contributionsThis is an easy, relatively short hike with views of agricultural fields as well as cloud forest. Beautiful flowers along the way also. The waterfall at hike's end is spectacular. We very much enjoyed this experience.Written 26 October 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Traveler3 contributionsTo quote our 8 yer old “OMG that was amazing!” — a few hours earlier she had been terrified by the idea of riding horses. Our whole family of four (girls 8 and 10) had an unforgettable afternoon. The connection between Franklin and the horses was magical and put everyone at ease. We took a tranquil 2 hour loop through farmland and the girls both had a chance to try galloping. Highly recommended!Written 2 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Daly BOttawa, Canada6 contributionsSo informative, interactive, interesting and delicious! Well worth the visit. We came away with boxes of chocolates we’d made, using our favourite type of chocolate and toppings. We choose our moulds, decorated them with shimmer and put in beautiful boxes! Perfect for gifting!!Written 17 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Stacie HForest City88 contributionsA great, relaxing excursion. A 20 minute boat ride with Eduardo to a sandy beach with adjacent reef. Snorkel, hang out in a hammock or take a swim. Fantastic lunch. We snorkeled and saw pufferfish, a tiger snake eel and a sea turtle, along with an array of beautiful, colorful fish.Written 19 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sarahAlto Boquete, Panama6 contributionsOne of the best trips ever! The guides even brought a little picnic breakfast with coffee or hot chocolate and some extra coats that really helped! They were amazing and it made it even better that we didn’t have to hike all the way 😂😅Written 16 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrej F13 contributionsA great visit to a coffee farm where they didn’t just show us how coffee grows but we went through the whole process of harvesting the coffee beans, hulling and roasted them and at the end preparing the coffee and tasting it. All hands on. Great and knowledgeable guide with ability to address all of our many questions. The experience was worth more than we paid for it.Written 31 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter F1 contributionJason has excellent knowledge of bird species and Western Panama locations. He is friendly, helpful and a pleasure to go birding with. He was able to adapt to less than ideal weather conditions and find target birds in many locations.Written 11 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amy B3 contributionsWe had a fantastic time doing the coffee tour with Carlos. They picked us up at our hotel and transported us to the Don Pepe coffee farm. Our guide was very entertaining and has a lot of knowledge on coffee, the history of Boquete and more! I would highly recommend a tour with Carlos!!Written 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
