We did three tours with Boquete Outdoor Adventures. The employees were thoroughly professional and well informed. Jaime was our guide on the Pipeline Trail and to the Lost Waterfalls. The man has a wealth of information about the flora and fauna of the region, along with the ability to walk on a trail while looking in the treetops without falling down. My significant other and I agreed that we wouldn't have seen a tenth of what there was to observe without Jaime there to locate and point out wildlife and plants.
Pipeline Trail: Easy. Wildlife. Old-growth trees. Very busy.
Lost Waterfalls: Moderate. Lots of stairs. Some steep climbs. Muddy. Moderately busy. Three waterfalls.
Our third tour was the Island Tour, which took us to a national park in the Gulf of ChiriquĂ. Ed was our guide that day. We enjoyed the boat ride with Ed pointing out sights along the way, including howler monkeys. Then there was swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding from a beach, as well as a lunch featuring, among other things, an array of delicious fresh fruits.
A guide can make or break your tour. Jaime and Ed did an awesome job.
