We did three tours with Boquete Outdoor Adventures. The employees were thoroughly professional and well informed. Jaime was our guide on the Pipeline Trail and to the Lost Waterfalls. The man has a wealth of information about the flora and fauna of the region, along with the ability to walk on a trail while looking in the treetops without falling down. My significant other and I agreed that we wouldn't have seen a tenth of what there was to observe without Jaime there to locate and point out wildlife and plants.
Pipeline Trail: Easy. Wildlife. Old-growth trees. Very busy.
Lost Waterfalls: Moderate. Lots of stairs. Some steep climbs. Muddy. Moderately busy. Three waterfalls.
Our third tour was the Island Tour, which took us to a national park in the Gulf of Chiriquí. Ed was our guide that day. We enjoyed the boat ride with Ed pointing out sights along the way, including howler monkeys. Then there was swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding from a beach, as well as a lunch featuring, among other things, an array of delicious fresh fruits.
A guide can make or break your tour. Jaime and Ed did an awesome job.

When you come to the store, it’s very easy to find. it’s right next to big daddy‘s bar and Grill. There’s a lovely young woman that named Jamie. Her English is good. You really want a book a tree trek adventure through her. The zip line has 12 stations. Additionally, we booked the Whitewater rafting adventure, which was Super.

Jason is a great birding guide and provides top-notch service.
Pre-trip communication via email was excellent. He arrived on time for the pickup in Boquete and was well equipped for the day ahead. His English is very good.
We went to two locations where Jason was able to locate by sight or by sound many, many birds. He was able to easily direct me on how to "get on the bird" with my binoculars, or to quickly set his scope on the bird for closer views. He was also able to tells me the field marks and behaviours to look for, and the differences between similar species.
He asked me up front if I had any target birds I really wanted to see, and made sure that we had the best opportunities to see them (we did!).
Jason is a naturally friendly person and we had a great non-bird conversation about life in Panama and the local area. Being a local resident, he was able to add some great colour to my experience.
Also, Jason is an absolute master at taking cell phone photos through his telescope ("digiscoping"). See the 2 attached photos. Much better than I could do.
All in all, I had a great experience with a great guide and genuinely nice person.
5 out of 5, would recommend, would hire again.

We had a fantastic time doing the coffee tour with Carlos. They picked us up at our hotel and transported us to the Don Pepe coffee farm. Our guide was very entertaining and has a lot of knowledge on coffee, the history of Boquete and more! I would highly recommend a tour with Carlos!!

We planned a tour with Patricio that ended up being a whole day of activities. We started out with a cloud first hike in the morning followed by a tour of 2 different coffee farms in the afternoon. When Patricio was younger, he actually worked on one of the coffee farms so he was a wealth of knowledge. He showed us the whole process of how coffee is made from start to finish, which was so awesome seeing the ingenuity of the coffee maker behind the scenes. We also were able to sample 3-4 different types of coffee including the famous geisha that is specific to this region of Boquete. All very delicious. My husband and I really clicked with him- we felt like great friends by the end of the day! I highly recommend hitting up Patricio for a private tour that he will suit to your needs! Well worth it:).
Hope to see you again one day!

Our guide and driver was very skillful. The road is completely washed out, and only the very high clearance vehicles can travel there. The breakfast is served after sunrise. They pay attention to all the details.

Alex picked up my husband and me at our Boquete Hotel and we discussed both the Waterfalls Tour and the Pipeline
Tour. We chose the latter which was less challenging. It was a beautiful hike through the cloud forest ending at a 1,000 year old Ash Tree before the return hike. Alex was wonderful company and a very knowledgeable guide pointing out the many interesting flora and fauna along the trail. It was an amazing and memorable hike even though there was a steady mist for a portion of the hike. We highly recommend this hike as well as Alex.

We did a full day hike and bird watching tour with Coffee Adventures on the Sendero Los Quetzales in the Baru Volcano National Park. From my first email contact with Coffee Adventures, Hans and Terry corresponded with me, designing the hike to fit our schedule and wishes. Hans and Terry were as excited as we were to embark on this adventure as the Los Quetzales trail had been closed for several years and had just reopened a week ago!

On the day of the hike, Hans and Terry picked us up from our hotel in their new 4x4 and drove us to the start of the trail. They obtained the permits in advance, so we just checked in at the ranger station at the beginning of the trail. Hans and Terry then set up a nice spread with delicious coffee and carrot cake. Fortified, we set out on the hike, which lasted 7 hours. Terry was our guide on the trail while Hans drove around the volcano to meet us at the other end of the hike.

Terry was delightful company the entire day. She is an experienced hiker and an excellent bird spotter. She was able to find and show us a broad array of birds-including the beautiful wattled bellbird and many different hummingbirds. After a few hours of hiking through the cloud-forest, we stopped for lunch. Terry laid out a delicious spread with sandwiches and vegetables and sweets.

The trail itself is in a good condition with all new bridges over river and stream crossings. And there are several spots with a clearing allowing views of the stunning mountains all around. It was a beautiful 9km hike through several different micro-climates and environments.

At the end of the hike, Hans met us with more coffee and carrot cake and then drove us about two and a half hours around the volcano back to our hotel in Boquete. It was a wonderful day and we are grateful to Terry and Hans for sharing their love of Panama and its nature with us!

This was one of my favorite activities in Boquete for both young and old. Boquete Rock Climbing School gives excellent service with attention to safety and fun. Los Ladrillos rock is a beautiful wall to climb giving you an excellent experience. Don’t miss this site and adventure.
