Our family of five (14, 11, 9) and my wife and I did this hike before we did the zip lining on site. Our guide Louis was very knowledgeable and very patient. The views are great and the trail is safe. There is an incline that may be harder for elderly however, and the way down can be tough on your knees. Regardless, the bridges were fantastic and it was a great start to the day. We did get a chance to see the elusive quetzal! It was raining but it didn’t put a damper on anything. Bring a raincoat, closed shoes or well made hiking sandals but do not wear sandals!! Luis (Louis?) explained any flora and fauna we came upon in detail. A wonderful hike.

One of THE BEST rafting trips I have ever been on. Knowiedgeable guide (Chebo) pointed out things along the way (saw squirrel monkeys twice and a boa hanging out in a tree, plus lots of birds). The rafting was challenging but in a good way. There was never too much time of having to paddle to the next rapids. Great lunch. Highly recommend. Love that they take pictures and you can retrieve them for free.

This was a great adventure. I’m an experienced hiker, and this was a long day. Over four hours up, and three down. But WORTH it. I was lucky to be with Hector solo for the day. He was knowledgeable, and fun to hang with for 7 hours. Bring water. I needed 2.5 liters. I also ate 5 sandwiches and some snacks (but I also weigh 240 lbs). You are walking up and down a road all day, with a 5-10 min class 2/3 scramble at the very end. Views from the top are insane. Both oceans and Costa Rica. Oh, and hector carried a coffee thermos to the top!!! Thanks hector for a great day.

If you’re in the fence, don’t be - BOOK IT!!!! Absolutely awesome day with awesome guides. Richard, Alex and Yamir were amazing! Such such nice guys who are so dedicated to making sure their guests have a great and safe time. They were enthusiastic, funny and oh so patient with this out-of-shape 52 year old woman who has terrible balance!!! The waterfalls and pools they took us too were gorgeous. The cliff jumping and waterfall sliding was so fun! And the last and biggest waterfall, which involves a steep hike down and tiring climb up…they didn’t make me feel badly at all about taking my time. Quite the opposite…they were attentive, kind and encouraging. Lunch was delicious. And the “surprise” at the end was a great way to finish the day. Gorgeous scenery coupled with fun. Truly, if you’re considering, just do it. You will love these sweethearts and the region.

It would have been nice to have a English speaking guide. The price was to much for what you got. I expected it to be bigger.

My son loved the petting zoo. And the views were magnificent overlooking Boquete. The slide was too fast for my son (4 years old) but other than that it was a 10/10 experience.

This tour was wonderful! We were the only two on our tour and the company did not cancel or try to reschedule. Then we ended up being the only two people at the canyon! Water was clean and warm. Jaimie our driver/guide was super friendly, knowledgeable and took great photos for us! He walked us through where to jump, water depth etc. Great experience!

Raul is an extremely knowledgable tour guide. He grew up in Boquete and knows the various regions inside and out. Not only is he amazing at spotting and calling for birds, he shares so much about the forest and surrounding environment. I was fortunate to see the quetzal, toucanets, woodpeckers, tanagers, hummingbirds, flycatchers and others. He also took me to various locations so I was able to see the bat falcon and lesson’s motmot. He even stopped to show me a two toed sloth. He was very hospitable and I was also able to see his private hummingbird garden filled with so many hummingbirds including the amazing violet sabrewing hummingbird. I would not hesitate in considering him for another tour and highly recommend his sevices!

If you want a great E-Bike experience, look up José. This is a relatively new business, owned and operated by José. It is in a great location in the center of Boquete, next to The Buckle Tip, set back from the road.

José's E-Bikes are new and in great condition, and he is a very kind and ambitious young man who speaks very good Inglis. My husband and I were first-time E-Bike riders and José was very patient with us, always checking to make sure we were comfortable on the bikes and safe. He even purchased bigger-sized seats for our gringo-sized derrieres. I think these will serve him well in the future because they are much more comfortable.

José charges extremely reasonable prices for a 3+ hour tour around the areas of Boquete you may not normally see on a regular tour. Beautiful countryside and mountains. He started us very slowly and was kind enough to walk my bike up a very steep hill when I was too scared. My husband continued on and I rode in the safety car with Miguel. I'm so glad he was there, he follows along the entire way to make sure everyone is ok.

Even though we voluntarily cut our trip a little shorter, I will still return to José when we move here in June and I have practiced more.

Five stars for this local and growing business! Muchas Gracias José and Miguel!!

Alexander grew up in Boquete. He has been a guide here for 12 years. His tour was like traveling with a really informed and attentive local friend. Because I am old and not agile, we skipped the hiking parts of the tour. He effortlessly filled the time, showing me many of the varied microclimates in the area.

He told me much about the growing and harvesting of coffee, about the history and people who live there, about the birds and plants. I told him I felt like a native.

It is a beautiful and multi layered area. I would love to come back and do more tours with Cloudforest. I felt truly welcomed and comfortable.

I enjoyed this coffee tour from beginning to end. The whole experience was pleasant and the tour guide extremely knowledgeable and passionate about coffee and the process of making it. The booking was easy and when my friends and I got there, we contacted the tour guide immediately to make arrangements. We were there on time and so was he. The place is up on a mountain with beautiful landscapes. Would definately recommend.

I live in Boquete and am an active hiker on all the trails here. The Quetzales Trail has so many possibilities for every standard of hiker! From Boquete to Cerro Punta it is 7Km hike in length but a 910m ascent :) From the start of the Trail, the first 3-4Km is steadily rising along a very pretty jungle trail and if your standard is basic you can choose to turn back before you hit the next stage.

The change from the ambling first section is ‘200’ steps pretty much vertical up the mountain to the seating area you see in the photographs, again this is a stage from which you can decide to return. If you decide to continue to Cerro Punta you face further stairs and steep ascent but this effort is rewarded by wonderful views from several viewing points.

When you reach Cerro Punta Rangers Hut there is a seating area to relax and picnic and the views from there are stunning. After a rest from your ascent you can then return back down to Boquete. It is possible to be picked up from Cerro Punta, equally you can be taken to Cerro Punta and then just do the descent. While this is possible it is nearly 2 hours from Boquete by road and taxis drop you short from the start so you face a steep ascent anyway unless your carrier takes you right to the rangers hut.

From/to the Boquete Rangers’ Hut there is a steep descent/ascent appropriately named ‘Los Lamentos’ so ascending to the Hut from the Cerro Punta direction you always have that as your final challenge.

For fitness fiends this trail is such a great challenge in so many ways. There and back in the same day is great fun, beautiful and a fantastic challenge depending on your pace. Cards on the table, I did Boquete to Cerro in 2 hours and 15 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes coming back, not bad for 60 :) but you younger people will beat that surely ;)

I’m not a ‘birder’ but no review could be complete without mentioning the huge number of bird species that adorn this wonderful trail, not least the often illusive and beautiful Quetzal. Of course you are more likely to see these if you walk and loiter at a birder pace rather than the fitness hiker.

So in summary this is yet another wonderful and rewarding trail in Boquete. There and back in a day is a fantastic way to spend a day for keen hikers.
