Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- SophieBerlin, Germany10 contributionsWe had a good time with a 5-year-old - even though it initially looked like a disaster. A lot of the slides require 120cm height, which he could not make. The slides he would have been allowed on were closed pipes, which he found too scary for lack of visibility. The kiddy castle was too noisy and ice cold with way too much water spraying all over the place. Our son did not ride down a single slide! He found bliss in the lazy river. 15JOD is too high a price for this think the parents.
The water park does not advertise the admission + towel + meal deal on the website. It’s a reasonable 5JOD more than the basic ticket.
The admission fee is crazy expensive (in fact the only crazier price is what taxis will charge you to get to the water park). The premises were pleasant, in good shape and well secured by an army of lifeguards.
Given the high cost we’re not coming back until everyone in our party is taller than 120cm.Written 27 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Haytham Abu FirasQatar21,302 contributionsOur journey to the South Beach was for Scuba Diving with one of the agents. We had a great diving experience. Well, South Beach is not close to the Aqaba city, 10-15 minutes drive. If you have nothing to do, don’t go there, but the beach is really nice, many activities like diving, snorkeling, swimming, walking, sitting and many others. In site there are few restaurants so be prepared before you arrive.Written 4 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Haytham Abu FirasQatar21,302 contributionsNear Al-Ghandour Beach, between the downtown market and the beach, is the Al-Sharif Al-Hussein Bin Ali Mosque in Aqaba. This grand white mosque is one of the main highlight in Aqaba. It is named after the grandfather of the now king of Jordan.Written 4 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yolanda S22 contributionsA good place to enjoy the beach, snorkelling among coral reefs or a small trip in a glass bottom boat. Berenice has an excellent staff and a pleasant and clean environment.Written 10 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leif Ørjan T2 contributionsMy father and I truly enjoyed this great day-hike, experiencing the rugged beauty of the mountains of Aqaba! The view at the summit overlooking the city and the sea was majestic. With Moaied as our experienced guide, we felt safe and it was truly an enjoyable time together. He made a fire and Arab tea at the top to drink while we enjoyed the view. We truly recommend this trek and this amazing team.Written 15 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Божана К2 contributionsHaving visited Ayla previously we never realised that hidden gem of a place was only around the corner.
The pizza ai funghi was excellent, ‘the best in Jordan’ as my Italian husband rated it.
The desert we had was hazelnut cake which taste and sweetness was perfectly balanced.
Our waiter Mothanna was very kind and attentive and he gave us a tour of the gardens after our dinner. What an impressive place!
We would definitely return once they re-open after the refurbishment, which is meant to last a month. We can’t wait to take our friends and family!Written 5 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I took a taxi from town, rented a snorkel and mask from Darna Divers Village for 5JD and snorkelled the Japanese gardens for a few hours. Darna’s minded my bag while I was out- and called a taxi for me when I was finished.
For the slightly nervous, there is a system of ropes and buoys to keep you in the vicinity of the coral drop off.Written 30 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
