Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a good tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable but his English was hard to understand. An amazing place. I’m glad I went.

We booked this through Jet 2 and it was average at best.

We had a fun ride on jeep up the mountain.

Stopped off a picturesque part of the coastline where “Mr Photo” took far too many pictures, we refused in the end as we felt like we were the Kardashian’s being photographed.

Next stop was the Zip line - Nice place for a snack and drink but zip line waste of time and very small. Had to wait until everyone did it before the trip moved on (slightly suspect H&S rules in place - eg. under 130 cm children allowed on despite rules stating otherwise.

Then onto Turtle Bay - what a joke. It’s a Green murky pond. Guide goes into the water and takes turtle out (small) for Yes, more photos.

We moved on to the Wishing tree - this is nothing special; it’s a tree with ribbon wrapped on it, no explanation of what the tree is for and why it’s given the title of a ‘Wishing Tree’

Then we had lunch, which was nice BUT you had to go through the 35 minutes sales pitch from carpet man. Opens up with “thank you for coming and supporting our community, we will let the Government know so they don’t demolish our village” then wraps up by saying that 80% of carpets are sold wholesale and Government pays all the shipping costs.

After lunch we moved onto our final stop, the Mud Bath. This was fun but some had to endure a 15 minute tour of an olive oil factory and this is the point Mr Photo tries to sell you the thousands of pictures, which is doesn’t like if you don’t buy them.

Our driver was amazing and TBH he took the best photos of us, they don’t need Mr Photo.

The sights of Pamukkale are incredible, but they should be better preserved from us tourists. The place was overcrowded and some of the areas were dry. Cleopatra pools had so many people, it was quite impossible to enjoy them properly. There’s also an extra charge to enter the pools. 5 starts to the guide, Ali, he was knowledgeable and attentive. Transfer from and to the hotel were well-planned and on time.

A very good day out and very much enjoyed by my husband and I. There was lots of different, comfortable, seating available, both in the sun and in the shade, plus a downstairs area of benches and tables.

Lunch could have been better - chicken, pasta and their version of salad, plus two slices off a french roll, all dished up on a plate, which was then handed out. It was enough for me, but my husband was still hungry afterwards. I would suggest you take snacks with you if you have a bigger appetite. Drinks can be purchased onboard.

Later on pancakes were offered for sale, but I wouldn't recommend those.

The boat makes about 6 stops where passengers can swim in the amazing blue, clear water and things like pool noodles and I think snorkelling gear are provided for use.

The one thing which really spoilt this amazing experience for us and I believe other passengers as well, was the blaring music - Turkish, eastern whatever - which was played all day, except for when the boat made a stop. When the music was turned off and you could enjoy the peace and quiet, it was magical, but the minute the boat started up again, the blaring music was put on again and an audible groan could be heard from the passengers.

Nevertheless, I definitely would go again.

This was such an amazing and unique experience! The drive to the village was beautiful. You arrive in a completely different world. The history and techniques and patterns were so well explained and the passion for this art form is palpable. It was great to be able to experience weaving a few rows of beautiful carpet and make new friends. And the lunch was soooooo delicious. I ended up buying 2 gorgeous carpets and they shipped them home for me for free! Unforgettable experience.

Loved the mud bath and the boat trip down the river, seeing the king tombs and feeding Loggerhead Turtles. The only issue was that it took 5 hours to get there on a cramped coach. It was worth it just to feed the turtles and to see the tombs, but be prepared for a long day. Left a 6.00 got back to hotel 21.00.

Melis, our guide, and Kemal, our driver, were excellent. Melis is very well informed and shared a great deal of her knowledge about Turkey’s rich history. She was also kind and patient with my wife & myself. Kemal was extra careful with his driving when taking us from place to place. In addition to the national treasures we saw while on the tour, we would like to add Melis & Kemal to the list of national treasures also!!!…Until next time Peace Be with You Always …Deb & Wayne, USA….

    Private Ephesus Tour From Bodrum
The private Ephesus tour, which I chose to go on a magnificent historical journey in Bodrum, was a truly unforgettable experience. Our guide Mr. Harun managed to fascinate us with his knowledge and sincerity. We started our tour in the early hours with a unique Turkish breakfast near Lake Bafa. Then, with the first rays of the sun, my heart started to beat rapidly when we set off towards the ancient city of Ephesus, which made me feel its historical spirit.
The magnificence and splendor of Ephesus, combined with the stories flowing from its stones, made me feel like I was on a journey through time. The fascinating Library of Celsius, the magnificent Temple of Artemis and the theater that can accommodate 15,000 people were among the magnificent structures that accompanied our journey into the depths of the past. Thanks to the narrations of our guide, we were able to witness the vivid details of the ancient period.
During the tour, we also enjoyed the rich cuisine of the region. A lunch of local delicacies made our historical discovery even more unforgettable.
Our guide pointed out that Ephesus is not limited to its famous buildings and took us to hidden corners to discover unknown stories. In these corners, full of interesting details about the daily life of the people, we became even more closely connected to the colorful world of antiquity.
The private Ephesus tour is an experience not to be missed for history and culture lovers. The beauty of this place, which fascinated me with its historic streets, extraordinary structure and impressive atmosphere, is still vivid before my eyes. I would like to thank our guide and the tour company for this tour, which was one of the most unforgettable memories of my trip in Bodrum. I can't wait to experience these beauties again in the future!
If you want to travel into the magical world of history, don't forget to add the private Ephesus tour to the top of your list. I am sure you will have a travel experience full of unforgettable memories just like me.

The chance to have a home cooked meal while traveling abroad seldom happens, so this was a real treat! Our guide, Bulent, gave us a great taste of culture and olives, while our cook prepared delicious Turkish dishes. The meal was so good my daughter (normally a pretty picky eater) asked when we could come back! Bulent is the best person we’ve worked with in Turkey; he’s dependable, honest, funny, considerate and extremely knowledgeable.

Iassos was special because it’s a lovely, well preserved site that lets you relax more than the usual, crowded historical locations. It’s only an hour’s drive from Bodrum so it fit easily into our plans. Our guide, Bulent, is knowledgeable, very experienced and made the tour fun and interesting for our whole party (young ones, too!). There’s a small, well-kept amphitheater in Iassos that we loved exploring.
