Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ever wondered how the Berber lived in Tunisia? This is your Tour. Ghassen, our young and super helpful Driver and Guide picked us up in Tunis and took us on a marvelous drive thru the backlands. Our fun guide, Ghassen is a very good driver and has a vast knowledge of the surroundings and the history of the area. He took us to 2 diffrent Berber villages nested on top of hills. He was very special to experience the basic lifestyle of the berbers. An old charming lady baked us fresh bread, we could taste with the local olives and olive oil. A very impressive tour with great views. One of the villages was partly in ruins which gave the whole tour a great vibe of Indiana Jones style adventure experience.
If you have a day spare - don't miss out on this. I've travelled many times to Tunisia and I have seen a lot of things here. But this back-to-the-roots day-trip was truly eye-opening and awesome.

We had some trouble with our travel company so instead we booked this tour last minute and it was the best decision. We saw a lot of different places in just one day. It was a bit exhausting because of the heat, but it was worth it, we learnt a lot about tunisia during our time with Nadhmi! He was also super flexible if you wanted to see certain places and he let you take your time at each place, so you never felt rushed. He is also a safe driver, so the drive to all the places and back to the hotel was really pleasant.

As a solo female traveller who speaks neither Arabic nor French, safety was top of mind when looking to book a day trip during my recent trip to Hammamet, Tunisia, and I decided to give Nadhmi a try based on the reviews, and I'm really glad I did!

He confirmed the booking via WhatsApp the day before the trip, giving me his car make and model, as well as location photographs of where he would be and time of arrival. He was punctual, and we set off on a day's trip that would be informative and enchanting.

We didn't really stop in the souks because I didn't really need to, but Nadhmi gave me plenty of opportunities to stop and look into anything I might be interested in ("They have a great little room in here if you want to have a look....there's a shop here with some great items if you would like to have a look...we can stop and look at some carpets/spices/king's bed if you are interested").

He went with us into the ruins of Carthage and waited patiently as I took a gazillion pictures, and then waited patiently as we stopped for a spot of lunch even though it was in the middle of Ramadan for him.

All in all a knowledgeable, courteous tour guide. Book him; you'll love your trip!

This tour was nice and pleasant. The guide spoke English well and went through the History of Kairouan and El Jem. He was very knowledgeable. The trip does include a water plant but this is part of the history of the City of Kairouan, there is no beach nearby so they need water area for kids to go swimming as well. The Mosque is nice and has all the old History. The guide does take you to a carpet shop where they try to pressurize you to buy a carpet but you can insist on not buying. One thing that did disappoint me was that the tour said that water and tea/ coffee is provide and included but we had to buy ourselves. Hence why the 4 star. El Jem and the Colosseum is awesome. The third largest in the world. Well worth a visit. Although I must admit you could get a cheaper excursion in Tunisia but you have the added safety of booking through a reputable company. Overall, i enjoyed the trip. Food was included and we had the added benefit of a Private taxi and tour.
