What travellers are saying
- kristi c4 contributionsWe had a 7 hour layover in South Korea and took a cab to this beautiful park. It was very peaceful. There were places to eat and shop nearby.Written 4 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AnLil965 contributionsIncheon was called Chemulpo in colonial times. Its beautiful bridge to Korea is one of the world’s top 7 and can be enjoyed aboard the AirPort Express train (AREX) via terminal 1 exit 3; and seniors can ride free on subways. It’s 22 km (over 10 miles) or double the length of Prince Edward Island’s Confederation Bridge in Canada’s Maritime provinces; and nearby Yeongjong do/Wolmi do ‘island’ and Muuido will offer scenic views too along with rail bike park—one of many in the country. If you’re entering or leaving the country with a bicycle/Box (Rapha Seoul), you might break up your travel by staying the weekend at Songdo’s Oakwood in Incheon. Seniors would prefer resort-like Paradise City or Hotel Art Paradiso, with its own station and bus service—crossing the bridge on wheels like Yeongpung or else airport shuttle to reach the casino and WonderBox theme park. (Alternatively, cycling tourists bound for Seoul might try connecting at Geoman or Cheongla station to the Ara/4-River trail.) There’s the safe & dedicated longer (633 km) Incheon-Busan Mountain Biking Trail for hardcore road cyclists, after assembling someplace above. Incheon bridge is a modern engineering feat that opens up a host of opportunities. By taking it (weekends), as a starting point, you’ll have a great time in exploring options…with or without speaking Korean, at any age!Written 25 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - addieSingapore, Singapore369 contributionsNeeded to be with nature and this place presented itself.
Easily accessible to South Entrance by train.
Line 1.
Change at Guro for Incheon bound.
Change at Juan.
Expected a place like any garden was surprised. It was more like a nature reserve. You can choose to walk along the flat ground or be adventurous and hike up the hill for more.
There are shops and restrooms along the way.Written 8 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The recreated village was very realistic.Written 16 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- tkpuarSingapore, Singapore521 contributionsIt has been my tradition to visit the Chinatown where ever l am overseas. I was not sure what to expect of Chinatown in Icheon.
I can say this is the largest one in terms of size. If you walk it will take many hours. The place is hilly so will be tiring. Our group took a motorised tour of 45 minutes with one stop at the mayor's residence.
You do not see the typical street vendors of Chinese food and household items. You get modern cafes and Chinese restaurants. Not sure the Chinese restaurants give authentic Chinese cuisine. We ate lunch of noodles and sweet and sour pork at one of the Chinese restaurants. The noodles were closer to Korean rather than Chinese noodles.
If you are looking for history of Chinese and Korean interactions over the last 100 years you are in the right place. You will see typical Chinese and Korean architecture. Also, typical classic Chinese fables and the like.
On sep 1, Chinatown had a special event festival so the place was crowded.
I think this is a must visit for those interested in Chinese history and stories.Written 2 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VeerahUusimaa, Finland32 contributionsa huge shopping mall. even a little confused.
lots of restaurants and shops.
I couldn't find any signs in English, so it was hard to find the shops I liked.
it's really cold in the area in winter, so you should wear warm clothes.
toilets often available and large parking areas. It is also easy to get to the place by public transport.Written 3 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have implemented a light show pretty cool. - fire-tower1,930 contributionsIn the park itself you will see a statue of General Douglas MacArthur. When we visited on a Thursday afternoon in winter, the place was fairly empty but there were visitors every now and then. However, the trees were beautiful as the leaves changed colours during winter. This place is worth a visit if you are in the Chinatown area in incheon. It’s about a 10-15 minute stroll from Chinatown on a uphill climb.Written 13 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EvilDaifuMelbourne, Australia454 contributionsThis is definitely a surprise hidden attraction so close to residential apartments in Songdo. I walked the 4km there and back so avoid walk. When I got here, the climb is steep to this Buddhist temple established somewhere around 1372 AD (about 650 years ago). I don't think any original temples remain and ones in place today were built around 1966 (about 57 years ago) but the views are clear across to Songdo. I could see our hotel from the temples. Because it's relatively out of the way, not many people here and I almost had the place to myself. Apart from several temples, a big Buddha, a big bell with striker that's not cordoned off so you can go right up to it (unlike other temples I've visited) and a very tall bronze pagoda, there's a back trail up the hill further to a mountain top but trees obscure much of the 360° views. I ended up spending about 1 1/2 hrs here. I would say what separates this from some other temples I have visited on this trip are the great city views being up so high. So worth a visit if your near Songdo in Incheon in my opinion. You can sit on a granite bench admiring the city views or catch up on some social media to the calming bells of wind blowing through wind chimes.Written 30 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
