I found this place incredibly intriguing and such history abounds within this area.
From towering pillars and a beautiful amphitheatre to stunning mosaics and fascinating brickwork and structures.
For history buffs this place is a must. Take a hat and some water especially in Summer.
A well preserved site with great explanations of what you are viewing.

I thought this was very good, but they need more information boards to explain what it used to look like and how it has been reconstructed. It is still in use today, but to do so modern parts have been added, some of these are obvious, but it is not clear what parts are 100% original and what are not. Nevertheless, it was interesting and worth visiting.

This is one of the most unique beaches we went to! The Roman Aquaduct was a great backdrop and the beach is very clean. Free parking.

There are lots of things to see that are very interesting: the ruins of Herod's palace, hippodrome, theatre, old bathhouses, mosaics on the floor. I think it is well worth a visit, and is in a great setting by the sea.
The entrance fee was reasonable compared to Israel prices and entrance fees in other countries to similar things. There are some information boards, but more would help, especially around the theatre area.
There are restaurants and shops near the main entrance, it would be better if these were outside the entrance to the national park.

History lessons, amphitheater, hippodrome, palace ruins, gorgeous ocean views, short video explanation, information placards in English and Hebrew, space to move around on beach, put your toes in the water - all stunning. We had a guide (which I would recommend getting one) who filled in many, many details to even further enhance the visit.

They had a short (5/10 min) video which gave information about Caesarea and king Herod, why it was built etc. They also had some artefacts and things to look at. It is not that big inside. I would recommend going here first, before you look at the ruins as then you get your bearings and information at the start.

An excellent experience. We went to the cesarea tour for my father birthday. Ram was our guide and he was professional, interesting and very nice. We had the tour on the EZ rider vehicle. Those were great, easy and fun to ride, we cover a lot of ground and seen a lot of things that are not easy to see in other ways. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience with Yachdav. We did a two hours workshop as a couple, we learned a lot and enjoyed the process very much. The location is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommended.

I took my chances getting off an overnight flight from the States and going strait to Old Caesarea Dive Center to see if I could get a dive in to see the ruins of the ancient port and the debris of various vessels that lay trashed in the shallow field of building stones.
This was a “have to do this once” kind of excursion. I knew the sea life would be minimal and water pretty murky but everything worked out and while I missed the group dive I had discussed by email with the Center, they were all too happy to set me up with a basically private guided dive. They charged about $90 (instead of $60) I was planning on in the group dive.

This is a very laid back operation. Do not expect fawning service. I chose to set up my own rental gear (I showed up with only my Ccard and the last few pages of my log book to show I have a logged dive within last 6 months). They will ask about that and dive insurance so I would recommend bringing these things if you want to dive without some added refresher. The gear was fine for this dive but I probably would have been a little leery about going deeper then the 7-8 meter planned depth.

The dive guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the site and once he saw I was competent he was excellent at navigating the site and pointing out interesting stuff.

Go early in the day. By the time I got in it was about 3:00 and the wind and waves started to kick up. If your familiar with diving off of key west the shallow murk and current/movement will be familiar. Also this is primarily shore diving. You will need to swim about 400 yards out to get to the prime submerge spot. May want to ask for a snorkel.

Be prepared to see a lot of garbage in the water both bio and man made. Prevailing winds on the Mediterranean push junk to the Israeli coast. But you are there to see man made ruins and not sea life so don’t let other man made junk distract from an otherwise interesting dive. Take a mesh bag if you really want to be a mensch (Yiddish for good man) and grab the floating junk when you see it.

All in all an interesting hour in the water, nice staff and worth the time and $. The Caesarea park itself has a lot of bars/restaurants and very interesting land ruins and fortifications. Definitely check out the park and dive if the conditions are good.

In 2008, and late in his career, Pete Dye redesigned the only golf course in Israel, so had to get it right. He did. The landing areas generous off the tee but the greens tend to be small and well bunkered. The greens themselves have a lot of slope and undulation so there is a premium on putting.

The staff could not have been more friendly and the head pro was very accommodating. The grass on the fairways is Paspalum. It is a great grass for courses that are close to the ocean/sea. It can be cut very short but there still is grass under the ball.

I took the basic three lessons kite surfing course. I had a great instructor who tough my the fundamentals with emphasis on safety. Each lesson is private and takes two hours. In the first lesson you learn how to control the kite and the theory behind it. The second lesson takes place in the water and you learn how to use the kit to drag you in the water. The last lesson is the hardest in which you learn how to use the board.

My instructor (Niv) was very good and the entire staff was very friendly.
