Big Lake you can completely round on a 18km walking road. Partly in the forrest. On Festival days still too many cars allowed to drive. Otherwise fresh air and nice surroundings

We visited this palace a few days before heading to the Forbidden City in Beijing, and to see both juxtaposed was quite something. The exhibition on Puyi's life was, although a little lost in translation at times, thorough and informative. The complex was well signposted and we could have spent more than the few hours we did there. Certainly a must see if you find yourself in Changchun!

This is definitely a nice park to stroll around. Sculptors from all over the world give their valuable contribution to make it one of the best and popular attractions in town. Some sculptures look very unusual. If you are passionate about this kind of exhibitions you shouldn't miss it out. I have purposely visited this park in winter because I think it's even more fascinating. Some outdoor things can be done on a frosty lake such as jeep driving. The admission ticket to the park is cheap. It's only 30 RMB. If you want to visit the sculpture museum it is necessary to spend an additional 30 RMB. Honestly you can skip it. In my opinion...but that is just my humble opinion of course, it's not really worthy of remark.

At 30 yuan to get in, it is affordable and easy to navigate if you don't speak Chinese. There is no food of substance available inside, just vending stands with warm soda and junk food priced double of what you'd expect to pay in a store. The grounds are nicely kept and there is no shortage of beauty. There is a theme park that cost extra (between 3-6 yuan per ride). It looks as well maintained as any travelling carnival I'd see back home in North America. A fraction of the enclosures were empty. Perhaps 1/5. Some of the animals had really nice green enclosures with space and entertainment, while others were in almost heartbreaking squalor. The polar bear, the seals, rhino and the chimps in particular were in plain concrete surrounds that were much too small, very dirty water, and no entertainment whatsoever. Some were encased on all sides in glass with no air conditioning or significant ventilation. The polar bear had sores all over his head. Most of the animals seemed happy and healthy, but there were a few obviously quite neglected. People were throwing trash at the monkeys and the staff wasn't doing much about it. There were lots of toilets and they were decent squatters compared to some I have seen here. They had stall doors. Despite toilets being everywhere, don't be surprised to see Chinese parents pulling down their kids pants pretty much anywhere and letting them go. We saw it twice right on the walkways with no effort to shield them...I am told this is cultural. Overall, it is a relatively okay place to take your kids. My son didn't really pick up on the poorer kept animals, perhaps I am more sensitive. By all means, definitely a nice afternoon if you aren't overly sensitive about the animal quality of life.

They say history is written by the victors, so bear that in mind as you visit this museum. This is a very thorough tale of the life of PuYi, who became 'emperor' of China on three different occasions. It's also a chance for the Party to tell how compassionate it was to 'rehabilitate' PuYi after he was deposed and captured--instead of executing him as a traitor. So it's a mix of history and propaganda. Still, if you want to learn about the last days of the Chinese empire and the Japanese-occupied Manchuria, this is a very good place to start. The signage is very thorough and in both Chinese and English. Interesting displays from throughout PuYi's life as well are exhibited along a chronological path through the building. This was definitely the highlight of my visit to Changchun.

Some of the exhibits are really fun, especially sitting in cinema chairs that are "enhanced". When mice run across the floor on the screen, you feel them as well as see them - haha.

This park is a great place with lots of different activities for everyone. Many people come here to dance, horseback ride, rollerblade, go boating, or just take a walk or run. Come early in the morning and you will see Chinese morning park culture.

Very beautiful when I arrived there hahaha)) It was just the ripe season for peony to blossom, right after spring that is, in the summer. Next up, there are small bridges over troubled water everywhere there whilst seeing green trees and bushes...just plain awesome!

Nice centre. Lots of high end shops. Good place to walk around. Clean, modern, expensive! Go to The Hill shopping centre opposite.

Yes! Summer time is definitely the best time for visiting the north lake park! So many beautiful trees and flowers blossomed during that time and many fishermen were fishing at the shores of the lake. You can also take a river on another part of the river; it cost about 20 rmb per hour! It's wonderful

This mall is great for children. I wouldn't plan a vacation to visit the mall, but if you have kids and are traveling to Changchun, I'd highly recommend a visit.

I'd give the mall a 3.5 rating overall compared to other places throughout the world; however, based on the other places I've been too in Changchun, I give it 5 stars.

The stores were good and there were a lot of sales and good deals (especially shoes kids/male/female). Price were reasonable. Again, the place is kid friendly. The 3rd and 4th floor were pretty much indoor amusement parks or play areas.

I thought fishing for goldfish with live bait and taking the fish you caught home with you as pets was a little odd. I thought it would be more of catch and release, but it wasn't a bad idea. Just a little odd.

The "One Piece" play area was pretty cool as well. My 4 year old was a little small for it, but he still loved it.

Again, it was a worthwhile visit. Well worth the time and taxi fare.

This is another masterpiece of a museum! You can find fossils, dinosaur and even giraffe! Nothing misleading but there are fossil samples of many different kinds of fossils. It's very nice. Moreover, there are natural inhabitants of the forest such as tigers, wolves, and gorilla samples. Very nice
