Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Dubai Mall is often touted as a top tourist attraction in Dubai, and if you visit it you’ll soon see why. Not only is it one of the largest malls in the world, but it’s chock-full of retail stores at multiple price points (i.e., not just high-end) and dining options — plus the Dubai Aquarium and access to other attractions such as the At the Top entrance for Burj Al Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain. It may be a good idea to focus on particular stores on any visit, because it can be exhausting to spend a whole day hiking miles throughout the mall.

I have visited Mall of the Emirates during my trip to Dubai. The Mall is huge, with plenty of shops from top luxury to mid range quality, A lot of eateries with a wide choice of food. Well connected with Dubai Metro and other public transportation

While in Dubai, my wife and I visited the Souk Madinat Jumeirah. Though this souk has elements of the traditional souks found in the Arab world, it has more of a modern feel. There are a variety of stores for shopping as well as places to purchases meals and other packaged food goods. There are also cafes and restaurant with seated dining.

The entrance has impressive arches and fountains at the entrance where there was a lot of pedestrian traffic when we visited. Parts of the souk are outdoor, though most of the shopping is covered interior. Though it is a large souk it is pretty easy to maneuver even with the crowds of people we encountered during our visit.

One of the highlights of visiting this souk is the excellent view it provides of the iconic Burj Al Arab from an outdoor patio area. Just note that you will not be alone among the throngs of people angling for a personal photograph—just be patient!

Nice big regional mall. This mall is very different then the other mall you come across it has a wide variety of shops and ample space to just walk.

Nice mall right on the Marina, with several happening stores and restaurants. A smallish food court though with barely 7-8 options, though can enjoy the view with the seating area overlooking the marina. Avoid the overpriced food stalls on the marina walk right outside the mall!

On our last full day in Dubai, my wife and I visited this traditional souk that was busy with locals, international visitors, as well as visitors from the other Emirates. The souk had the typical winding paths and “friendly” vendors. However, these vendors were not at all aggressive as souks I have visited in other countries. Bargaining is cordial and reasonable! My wife and I purchased dried hibiscus after sampling fresh hibiscus juice offered by the employees in Rise. We also purchased incense and the charcoal burners; we fell in love with the burners and incense once we returned home—they are now used regularly in our home. There is a lot to see throughout the souk and we had fun walking around experiencing the sights, sounds and fragrances.

It's an incredibly large mall. Too much to see at once. The section we explored had good gelato, some good clothes and fashion accessories for women and mostly sports clothes for men so I didn't exactly have fun shopping.

The prices here are no better (or worse) than UK, if you fancy a shop it’s worth a visit but you won’t find bargains. I bought some clothes here which were on sale in Dubai Mall at same price.

Outdoor activities in Dubai during summers are only possible if you want to get baked like a cake, (and my kids are in no mood for that) so I am on a mall hopping spree. (6 malls in as many weeks)Hey City Centre Mirdiff what you have to offer?.
    1. Thumbs up : Dining choices 👍From fast food to fine dining, you name it you get it. Shopping 👍All the usual suspects (and many unknown ones as well) are here.
    2. Thumbs down : It is what it is, a giant mall. No nitpicking here.
    3. Highlights : Malls in Dubai need to have some highlight attraction. This place has Ifly, (see my Ifly Dubai review) little explorer and Mirdiff summer camp for kids, and bowling alley for grown ups (while your kids can blow away your money in magic planet) 😏
    4. Monney Matters : Attractions are pricey. Shopping depends on what is your budget and dining has options from budget to ones that can burn craters in your pocket. So choose wisely.
    5. 5point Experience : Yet another place for a evening stroll in Dubai (Dubai is brimming with such places and even more are opening. Phew) Dine shop and have fun
My ratings : Go for this

We came to Dubai to celebrate our wedding with family. Having grown up in Dubai I wanted to get my engagement ring made there for sentimental value.
When we arrived at the gold and diamond Park we were overwhelmed with the number of shops but having read a lot of reviews before arriving we decided to visit Passion Jewellers and I am so glad we did.
We were served by Bhupendra. He was amazing throughout the whole process. I wanted the ring itself to match and fit with my wedding band. I had to leave this with them and within 3 days they contacted my Husband to let him know the ring was ready. When we arrived I felt the ring was slightly too small. Bhupendra insisted this was not a problem and had it resized within half an hour. He took time to show us where the rings were made and discussed the whole design process with us. Not only that he then made sure we were driven back to our villa.
When we arrived home we had the ring valued for insurance purposes and found it was worth a considerable amount more than what we paid.
All in all a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend!

Not sure how to score it, I did not like it or dislike it. It is what it is. I don't think it's fair to score low as its a different culture to what I am used to. Do I like pushy and aggressive approach no but did I want to experience the real old souks and the way how they trade... yes. Its simple if you are after air con, coffee and lovely sales person this is not for you BUT if you can out that on hold for a day and dive in to different experience by being assertive and direct then he'll yeah!
