Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Lee CooperBrighton, UK35 contributionsThis beach is a little further out of Split town but defo worth it. It has a stunning forest and cliff backdrop and it relatively laid back.
The further to the right you go, the more gay-friendly it gets.
We stopped at Joe’s 2 beach bar which is less hectic than Joe’s and a little further on. Music was chilled, service great. Loungers €22 euros for the day but seems cheap after holidaying in Mykonos and Ibiza (it’s still not though!)
DON’T get a a cab. Get Uber or bus. We were charged €32 for a metered cab for 10 journey from town. The same journey by Uber was €6(!)
The beach is stony but we managed without aqua socks. Depends how delicate you are!Written 6 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Could easily see fish in the clear water. lots of parking space. And of course busy. It’s family friendly with showers, changing booth and toilets. You can bring baby pushchair.Written 6 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RajLondon, UK2 contributionsThe beach is quite calm. Great place to spend the day. Bene Beach stands in Marjan Park and it is quiet and relaxing. Really enjoyed visiting this beach and felt much more away from the other tourists.

There is a little playground at the top of the beach and there is a toilet signposted although we didn't use it so I don't know whether it's actually in use/clean etc.
The beach is really small so great for people watching and again good for if your kids like to run off into the distance as you are unlikely to lose sight of them on such a small beach.
The negatives: goodness me the sand is filthy. Probably 90% tab ends, lots of litter and one day an actual dog turd - at least I assume dog, the truth may be even more sinister.
You might marvel at the 3 stars but the water itself looks clean, there are bathing platforms and ladders to access the sea, and having the freedom for your kids to splash about the shallows without the risk of them being knocked off their feet by a wave is worth getting over the horrible dirty sand for me.Written 1 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ines10 contributionsA beautiful and calm beach, perfect for couples and people that want peace and quiet. The sea is beautiful, clean and the beach is perfect for swimming.Written 22 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GregCambridge, UK5,209 contributionsDuring our visit we noted this beach is far nicer than Bacvice beach and somewhere we’d be more likely to return. Despite it being pebbly and rocky in parts, it offers extremely pleasant views. Was very popular with most areas taken up by families and couples. There’s one bar which again is popular and inexpensive (the restroom facilities aren’t great though). Lots of parking available. Draw a straight line from this area and you’re looking at - roughly - Pescara, Italy across the Adriatic Sea.Written 8 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Krisztina PJaszbereny, Hungary50 contributionsIt is far from Split center but it is so beautiful. The water is clean, the view from the beach is nice.Written 15 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andr3a1oZagreb, Croatia1,055 contributionsJust nearby Hospital Firule and tennis courts where Goran Ivanišević was training.
An excellent beach for families with children.Written 4 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately, it is not very clean - plastic (and other) waste in the water - but you can still find nice and clean parts there.Written 6 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ellen FUnited Kingdom7 contributionsNot sure why this hasn’t got more reviews; it’s a nice beach which isn’t as overcrowded as the others. Basic snack/drink bar under large shelter which came in handy in the rain!Written 26 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JoePublicPinner, UK25 contributionsMessed up place with a faint aura of danger. “The Old Abandoned Beach Bar” is straight out of scooby do though I but it contains worst things than an old man trying to scare kids away. However for all that - this is far as you can walk from Split without the sea coming right up to the cliffs so gets a few marks for being that turning point.Written 5 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
